Location is great but the building looking like an abandoned factory.

I Wish I could give 0 stars for the toilet and the kitchen is disgusting . The bathroom looks like it has not being cleaned for a month and kitchen I wouldn’t be comfortable to drink tea leave alone to cook anything .

As a female who was there alone, I felt unsafe to stay overnight on my own. It just gave me the creeps, so after seeing the place, I immediately left and went to stay on a hostel nearby, in which, yes, I slept in a shared room, but it was safe, clean and with 24/7 open reception and many friendly people around. The hostel is a much better option compared to this place, which was like haunted and scary to enter. Yes, it had a double-bed room, but the sound from the street and cars passing by could be heard all the time. The walls and the furniture were dirty and it felt unpleasant… and the whole entrance through a wooden door - without a single sign on the building to point this is the place with its name - and with a code system on the door, without a single soul around… it was just not my thing. Very bad choice to book it, but I’ll know for the future.

Safety is a concern

You get what you are given considering the price, i would say it is suitable for men travelling alone. Facilities are as listed, and pictures are accurate.

I had stayed with my boyfriend, and booked two nights, we ended up not staying the second night due to safety. At around 1am we had ordered food, and headed back to our room. I went to check our lock on the door, someone on the other side tried to either open the door or push it 3 times, I would advice to not stay unless it is a last resort.

Don’t waste your money, this place is not livable.

NOTHING. I initially booked this apartment because of how lovely and homey the pictures looked. Based off of this you can expect the rest of the property to be the same. I should’ve know from not seeing photos of the shared areas that this was a big RED FLAG. When I entered the place was absolutely disgusting, with the bathrooms having mould and brown residue in the showers, poo still in the toilets, the kitchen an absolute mess with dirty bed linens everywhere. The living room (if you can even call it that) was disgusting, with food residue all over the little table and floor.

Everything. The place was disgusting. No pictures of the shared areas on the booking at all. Absolutely modified when I walked in. I had to pay £100 for alternative accommodation. I did not even stay here. I couldn’t stay here it would’ve been a hazard to my health.

Average stay needs improvements

The room was good spacious clean.

I was given a room when I got there someone was in that room when I contacted the owner he forgot to let me know he had put me into a different room poor communication. My room was extremely hot needed a fan in there other occupants were noisy. I opened windows fully but still very hot and then there was loud noise coming from a huge restaurant pipe outside my room could not sleep until the restaurant closed and turned it off. Outside my room windows was lots of rubbish bags and barrel’s looked horrible. The toilets were dirty as was kitchen. The whole place needs cleaning up and done TLC.

On entering the entrance of this place the carpet is very dirty, the window ledge is full of dust. Going up the stairs the carpet is very dirty. The bed linen smells of male body odor, curtains crush and have spots on it. I was not informed that I have to share toilets and bathroom. There is mold on the roof of one of the bathroom. Kitchen is nasty and also the fridge. The description on Booking.com is misleading and that's not fair. Nasty place.

Disappointing Stay Due to Broken Facilities and Cleanliness Issues

I didn’t like my stay because the main lock of my room no 2 was completely broken and was just hanging by a nut. One of their washrooms was broken too, and they tried to fix it with white plaster, which looked really bad and if you sit on it they will fall. The floors were damaged as well. The duvet and sheet had a yellow stain, and they were placed upside down, probably to hide the stain. Also, because the handle of my door was broken, I didn’t feel comfortable at all.

I would never ever even dream about coming here again

Honestly the owner is the biggest scammer ever. The place looks nothing like the pictures. I walked in and there’s 2 drunk men and I could smell fags everywhere. Then I go up the stairs and the place smells of fags.

The whole place stunk of fags. I walked into my room and the bed had marks on it and dust all over. It defo hasn’t been cleaned. Then I walked into the bathroom and there were stains everywhere and it stunk. The hygiene was so bad.

Property is filthy no aircon and a broken fan that doesn’t even work . Ridiculously hot in the room despite only being able to open 2 out of 5 windows . No tv and you would share bathroom with the whole building 🤢 customer service is disgraceful and rude and do not help . Yes it is cheap but still not worth your money . I wasn’t able to breathe in the room as it was too hot and it smelt of cannabis

The host is very responsive and does his best from a remote location. The WiFi was fast.

Hot room and the fan wasn't working

The room was mega hot. The fan I had in the room didn't work then I asked one guy who said he was a staff asked him change the fan he agreed and didn't come back. One of the drawers was falling off and had rubbish in one other drawer. Lastly TV would have been ideal in the leaving room at least

The bed sheets had a hole in them more of a burnt mark. Walls and the floor was dirty you could just tell from where it was located and the way u walk into the building more of a shag pad then anything else stayed for max a hour and didn’t return booked another place somewhere else

The room was small, the bed linon was dirty, smelling of mold. The walls separating the house (the divisions of the apartment) were so thin that you could hear other people talking from the other side. The bathroom: smelled super bad, not washed probably in many days. But for the price... That's what you get in Birmingham.

RUN AWAY - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

The hotel was so deplorable that I left after just one night and had to book another place for the second night! I am extremely disappointed. The entry code I was sent to access the accommodation was incorrect. Then, they gave me the wrong room—I had to call again to get the correct one (which I had paid for, with a double bed, not a single one). The bed was absolutely filthy, with hair in it, another dirty bedsheet inside, and even a pair of underwear under the mattress. There was chewing gum on the floor next to the bed and a piece of plastic that strongly resembled a condom wrapper. I had to ask them to change the sheets. Even the headboard was dirty, as if there had been vomit on it. Additionally, there was no soundproofing at all—it was extremely noisy. This place is nothing like the beautiful photos on Booking. A nightmare—avoid at all costs! It’s a scam. They also lied about the location; it’s not close to Chinatown at all but rather in an unsafe area that looks like an abandoned industrial zone. The claim that Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel is also false—there is no Wi-Fi. It felt like I had stepped into a room used as a brothel or for people just looking to have sex… The photos are completely misleading!

Its a very basic room and in a great location. Though tidying and cleaning the build will improve!

Its a basic room, bed and wardrobe thats its, wifi access okay, two showers and toilets. Kitchen as well. Great for if you are staying over for one night.

The location proved a bit hard to find and it will throw some people off as its in a pretty much industrialised area, though it is quite close to the main coach station. Place looks like its a recent build and shows it in parts, some tidying up might be needed build wise. Kitchen was a bit messy. No chair in room only a bed.

Bed was comfy, cheap and very close to the centre, max 10min walk to new street. Good for one night

The kitchen was quite dirty, same with the shower bit of mould round the corners, definitely put me off showering but that was fine I only needed a bed for the night. Could of done with a TV in the room as the rooms to be honest are quite nice and pleasant, would of been nice and would add a lot of value just to have a cheap TV. Also door needs some sort of sign as had to call to make sure I was at the right place.
