    Location near bus and train stations. Breakfast included. Surroundings are not nice, under construction and old buildings

    Comfortable bed, decent sized locker, helpful staff, nice self service breakfast as a bonus. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Its a good hostel

    Lovely reception lady. Arrived at 3 , no heating in the room which was freezing and smelt musty. Areas around window had a fair bit of mould I had double room which had a terrible mattress. When i woke up at 9.30 am again no heat so i didn’t shower. The place was full of single gentlemen - not sure whathat was all about . Im single female travelling alone but itfelt completely safe.the place is up aside street , 5 mins walk from Digbeth coach station but i felt uneasy walking home late - but that could just be me unused to cities as i live very rural. The best bit was howclose to the O2 institute it is which is why i chose it. But wish i has stayed in the travel lodge at Moor street. I usually prefer to give money to smaller nonconglomerates but on this occasion would have preferred the travel lodge for sure but ymmv if you have lower requirements and arenot an old fart needing more comfort. The lack of heat and the mould arekind of deal breakers for me as is a poor bed
