Lovely place let by very pleasant people!

The property is really lovely very clean and nicely kept. A nice flat for the 2 night stay we had. Really spacious and comfortable. It’s situated above a bar, but the noise stopped by 11 both nights so there was no problem there at all. Owners were great. Let us check in early and out an hour or so later. So super flexible.

Nothing. Even when we had a minor leak in the bathroom, the owners were over to fix straight away as the live close.

Unsuitable unless you enjoy a club scene

Rooms nice and comfortable with good central location

Intolerable noise levels until 11.30pm from bar/disco music more akin to club noise restaurant which is underneath. No wifi so no smart TV.

Overall appearance eg. paint peeling off bathroom ceiling. No way to open any windows so living room became too warm. The noise from nearby restaurant in the evening.

Really disappointed

The location is excellent

Well, there was so much. This flat is advertised as luxurious, but lots of things were broken or neglected. The chairs outside were broken, the front door was stiff, the bathroom was awful: plaster coming off, black mould, wobbly bath. The blinds were broken in the main bedroom, the kitchen tap was broken, the wifi didn't work for more than 24 hours, the microwave was unusable, absolutely filthy windows that were hard to open in a heatwave. We emailed Vera, the host and didn't receive a reply until after we had left. Many of these things have been noticed by others and not fixed! Considering a price of more than £200 per day this is unacceptable

A very central location. The flat had a solid kitchen/living area. One of the beds was very comfy. Easy access to the hoover and cleaning materials

The flat was not clean. I found this incredibly disappointing considering the price. Mould in the bathroom, stain in the toilet and the wallpaper is peeling off. This is a deeply frustrating thing to come into when you are paying more than £200 a night. We have a baby so this is very important. The flat wasn't clean either, i re-hoovered the bedrooms. There is a lot of fake plants about, and I do not believe they have been cleaned before. They are easy to move if you wish to. The bed in the back room is very comfy but it is also falling apart, furniture appears to have been bought and thrown in with little care, this would not matter if clean but I would argue none of it really was. What I am unhappy with has been highlighted in reviews several times before (I know, I should have read these before booking and lesson has truly been learned). This is frustrating, you are charging people more than £200 a night, at the very least make the place nice. If you are paying for a place that says it's luxurious (let alone costing more than £200 a night) it should at the very least be spotless. I did not complain to the company about this, I have a family and we had 5 days (that's it for the year to be away) and i conceded with doing it myself. PLEASE NOTE: This flat is directly above a very loud pub/club and it is loud. I mean really loud, may suit people there for a few drinks more than those looking for a quiet family get away. This should , at the very least, be highlighted in the listing.

We enjoyed Berwick upon Tweed but will not return to this apartment. We loved the estuary boat trip

Good location near the walls. Spacious apartment and good furnishings. Noisy pub on Friday and Saturday music finished at 11pm and customers gone by 11.20pm

See previous reviews. Pub on the ground floor very noisy and hard to hold a conversation especially Friday and Saturday. Front door lock tricky. Step down to kitchen is a trip hazard. There were a range of housekeeping issues that should be sorted. I emailed the host on my return and no reply.

Airy and spacious, well located with free parking in ce tra

The location was great, we wanted somewhere in the centre of town with parking, this was perfect and a great location. We loved the airy feel of the lounge area with large windows all round - we finally managed to open the windows on our last evening as it was so warm, getting a nice breeze. The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make simple meals.

Locking the door was tricky - still didn't have the knack at the end of our stay, more by luck than anything else! Also we had a power outage one evening, fortunately we had seen a key to the door where the electric switches/circuit breakers were so were able to flip it back on. The bathroom ceiling needs a re paint but a minor point.

Lovely Berwick-Upon-Tweed

Great Central location. Great living and dining area. Local people were very friendly and loved to chat. Great walks

Definitely need to visually hilight the step into the living area as my wife almost fell going in. We put a chair at the step to remind us as you tend to quickly forget. A curtain or blind on the front door would give you more privacy and the bathroom could do with a refurb as paint peeling off ceiling. We would love to say that the whole apartment was excellent but the above points let it down. We would just like to say these points in no way spoiled our stay in this lovely town and would definitely come again.

Overall value for Money

I was blown away by the size of this property. The living space is huge. The only negatives were the bathroom is in need of decoration (peeling ceiling). The bath was very narrow. The sash windows along the street side of the apartment did little to stop noise pollution.

Location, parking and great value for Money. Kitchen and front room. An extra chair for 4 people please.

Bathroom is tired and needs refurbishing. Peeling paint above the shower. No toiletries. Electric wires showing in kitchen. Electrician should tidy up the kitchen lights.

Pleasant and handy. Noisy and stifling too.

Clean and comfortable, host allowed a later checkout for free, all very much appreciated. Wine and sparkling water much appreciated touches. Free parking at the door.

However, this is advertised as a luxury apartment. It’s not that. 1. The place has terrible internet. Unusable until 11pm, then unusable again in the morning. 2. Apartment is noisy until Limencello, restaurant below, closes. After 11pm. 3. Bathroom needs redecorated. No lock on bathroom door. No soap or shampoo to shower. 4. Bedrooms have no lamps. Only big overhead light. Linen is polyester, not cotton. 4. Apartment full of plastic plants and flowers. Overwhelming! We placed all bedroom ones in hall so we could sleep. They are massive and look like feather dusters. They block all window light in what could be a light, airy apartment. I feel owner has put these and a massive amount of ornaments and trinkets in an attempt to make it look luxurious. It’s stifling. 4. No dish towel to dry dishes. 5. No instructions for oven and it’s not straightforward unless you know the exact oven.

Enjoyable stay.

Was clean and all amenities you could want was available.

There were no instructions on how to use microwave or TV. No warning about step down into living room. I almost fell on first entry. Toilet roll holder rusty. Being of the older generation we could not access the over bath shower so had to do with a Nana wash every day. Apart from these points we really enjoyed our stay.

The appliances in the kitchen we new and very complicated and no instructions were left. Electricity kept tripping, it appears that cable is being run from property to run a building site - concern about safety Very noisy; above a bar and building work going on very close by.

central location in Berwick, spacious apartment very comfortable.

Location instructions / address a little vague had to call the host on arrival to be given actual location. The two main light shades in main room require cleaning or changing, very bad staining. 2 X power cables running from the apartment through a ground floor windows supplying power to a adjacent building prevented us from closing and locking the window. this became a security concern for us which meant we had to remove anything of personal value everytime we left the apartment.

Lovely apartment - communication before stay could have been better

The location was handy and the apartment was very modern, clean and comfortable

There was very little communication beforehand about how to collect the keys, we didn't even know which of the three apartments we were staying in. Although very stylish, there was a lot of light in the room I stayed in so it was hard to stay asleep in the early morning due to light coming in through the windows (even with blinds drawn and shutters closed)
