We loved our stay, peaceful location yet close y to York, we loved the hot tub and had a very relaxing weekend.

Great find, close to park & ride and so peaceful 😊🎂

The site was very peaceful and an ideal location with the park & Ride to York only 3 minutes drive away. Lots of great places within 20-30 minutes drive. The setting is so pretty and all lit up at night. Hot tub was a bonus but even just sitting out on the decking with a cuppa looking over the lake was lovely. Little ducks visit often and get fed well from all the houses. Jumping fish too! Felt very safe and secure. The house itself has everything you could need. A well equipped little kitchen that has plenty tea, coffee and sugar all stocked and milk for your arrival.

Honestly, it's hard to think of anything to write here but if I have to the only thing I'd say is with the kitchen being open plan to the living area, it's hard to keep the wee ones out of the kitchen & the cupboards so if there was a way of blocking that off to keep them out - maybe a pull out baby gate or something? (we have one in our own home that works a treat). That was our only gripe the entire week was we had to keep our 15 month old out using dining chairs until he figured out how to crawl through them 😳

The hot tub didn't stay hot for the 3 day stay. It was quite cold on the 3rd day and the temperature controls didn't seem to work.

Everything. They thought of the little things like tea/coffee and milk in the fridge. Perfect stay for a romantic getaway and will 100% stay again.

Nothing at all. If being extremely picky, the two radiators in the living room were not working but not a problem for us at all.

The lodges are beautiful. I can’t fault them at all. They are spacious, warm and comfortable, they have beautiful high ceilings that create such an open airy space. The hot tub and the sauna are absolute luxuries. The way that they all curve around the lake is so pretty makes for a beautiful view of the sunrise and sunsets. The location itself is perfect. Osbaldwick is a beautiful village and it’s a short drive into York centre.

We loved how chilling and relaxing the environment was. It was so quiet and calming, just what we needed to celebrate our friend’s 50th birthday, a very busy mum who works full time in a school, we needed a weekend without watching clocks…enjoying the hot tub and the sauna…it was perfect! There was a fun run in the area and the roads around were closed, the management very kindly allowed us to stay for the day until the roads reopened because it was out of their control, saved us having to leave very early and therefore we enjoyed the previous night without worrying about a very early start to avoid the road closures. Also, even though we took our own, it was a lovely surprise to find, tea, coffee, sugar, 2 pints of fresh milk in the fridge, washing up liquid, other cleaning materials, sponges, cloths, tea towels and loo rolls…you’d be surprised how many places I’ve stayed at and none of the above provided.

Cannot think of anything we would improve upon. Well maybe some product for the hot tub to prevent foam build up when it’s on.

A comfortable relaxing home from home stay. Will be staying again!!!

Tea ,coffee and milk provided on arrival, clean and cosy lodge and in a quiet surrounding area, comfortable sofa and beds, great hot tub, close enough to travel to York town centre.

Perfect for a group of friends!

We were thoroughly impressed with the lodge. As a group of female friends, we felt safe and relaxed in the area. The hot tub was private, and the sauna was so lovely. It had everything we needed for a short stay. We would recommend this lodge to anyone who is looking for a wonderful weekend away in York.

Old food on the dishes (we assume this comes from previous tenants) and stains on the towels. Nothing major!

We had a lovely 3 day break in a lovely lodge so peaceful and well looked after surroundings.

Great location so peaceful and well looked after. Great to have tea coffee and milk in the fridge for when you arrive we really appreciated that after a long journey. Lovely local pub along the road for evening meals. Definitely would stay again.

Amazing. Loved it

Absolutely amazing. I felt like a princess staying here. Very clean. Layout spot on. Instructions prior to arriving were detailed and clear. Lovely suprise having some milk in the fridge and tea and coffee to hand after such a long journey. The sauna and hot tub really made this. We used this every morning and late evening. We feel squeaky clean! After long walks exploring the coast it was lovely having this to look forward to at the end of the day. Loved the windows and the blinds.

Fabulous stay in stunning lodge with hot tub and sauna.

Stunning well equipped lodges, spotlessly clean with a hot tub and sauna. Good communication from booking to arriving at the lodges (I booked four). So peaceful but within easy reach of York City, 10 minute taxi ride. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk provided with a bottle of Prosecco which was a lovely touch. We would have no hesitation recommending these lodges and will definitely return.

Nothing to dislike but if being picky then a cabinet in the bathroom would be good as not much room for storing toiletries. Mattress and pillows aren’t the best quality which is a shame as everything else is of a high standard but for a four night stay wasn’t a major issue. Somewhere to hang towels to dry inside the lodge during the winter would be good. Maybe a couple of hooks in the bedroom.

Lovely and relaxing

Lovely well presented property with everything we needed, the hot tub was lovely and very conveniently located for getting a bus into York, although for 4 of us, it was the same price as an Uber.

A sound bar or speakers would have been a nice edition, and some instructions on how to operate the cooking hob, sauna etc. might have been a helpful addition.

A beautiful place to be

free car charging facilities, although was only a 3 pin plug, was still great to top the car up for the next day. blinds we’re cool, looking into getting some for our house

few loose deck boards on the deck - wasn’t a big issue, just made a loud bang when the kids were going up and down the deck
