I received a call in the afternoon of the day we were checking into the house asking if it was okay if a roofing guy came to look at the roof on the Saturday during our stay. I said that this would be fine and if we were out, we would leave the key in the key box. However at 10:14 am on Saturday I received a phone call asking if the roofer could come into the house in the next few minutes and I stated no and that I would prefer to answer the door to him. This was because myself and my family were all asleep and the phonecall had woken me up. I opened the door to my bedroom and stepped out onto the wooden floor landing which unfortunately was soaking wet. Due to this I slipped on the surface water and fell onto my arm and hurt my wrist very badly. However I picked myself up and went downstairs to answer the door, where a man was peering through the glass to see if somebody was coming. When I opened the door, I let two men into the house, one went to investigate the problem with the roof going out through the kitchen into the garden. The other man started to go up and down the stairs, which has no carpet on it and is very noisy. This now woke up my sister who was asleep in the downstairs bedroom. This then, resulted in an about an hour's worth of banging and crashing whilst the roofer fixed the roof and the other man going up and down the stairs looking at the damage. I told him I had slipped on the wet hallway and he did not address this. He looked at the floor but did nothing about the water on the surface.
This was quite unacceptable and not something I had agreed to. At one point I believe there was even a third man coming in and out of the house carrying planks of wood whilst the second man was up and down the stairs checking the leaking roof. The water was running down the light and onto the hallway floor. This was extremely dangerous.
The noise was absolutely ridiculous and proceeded to wake up everybody in the house. Again completely unacceptable.

Although we were unable to communicate with the host before the checkin start time, during the checkin window the host was very present, welcoming, and attentive. A wonderful staff at breakfast too! So respectful and graceful and able to keep an elegant flow of orders and food and guest checkouts.
It was so comfortable and refreshing to stay here. The views are wonderfully green outside the windows. The sitting room is lovely, especially coming inside on a wet autumn night. It feels like time-traveling into a storybook.
The breakfast… so delicious. Very well done. Simple yet elegant with a lovely variety of warm dishes. Fresh juices also available. It was truly a great stop along the way. We would definitely return. Wish we stayed longer

Breakfast was amazing. Best we had during our travels. Room was spacious and clean but shower head was a bit low for an average height man! Amazing location but there is a part of the walk into town that is along a busy road with no path.
Very strict on the 4 pm check in time.

No everything was excellent

Breakfast was excellent - both days. Staff were friendly and helpful.
The ensuite bathroom did not have any shampoo/shower gel when we arrived - we had to request same. The footpath to Kilkee centre stops about 75 metres short of the accommodation - requiring a walk on the side of a busy road for that stretch.

The breakfast was absolutely lovely, great selection and freshly made. The bedroom was very comfortable and we were delighted that we had tea making facilities and dressing gowns in the room to relax in. The B&B was very near the village so was convenient.
