Beach location 5mins

Close to where I wanted to be

The pool was minus 100 degrees there was polar bears penguins and seals jumping out of it because it was that cold

We loved it's location (apart from the Hill 😁) but it's ideally situated and so close to the beach.

Location - only 5 minutes walk from the main beach and strip. Very quiet apartment complex, mixture of holiday rental and owner occupied Pool very quiet (complex probably not suitable for children), no lifeguard so young children would need to be supervised. Plenty of plates, cups, glasses and dishes, cutlery and general kitchen utensils The washing machine worked and was handy to have. We were left a bottle of wine and water by our host. Handy shop and hairdressers next door. Kontiki apartment are across the road have a restaurant where you could get breakfast, lunch or dinner if you wanted something very close by. Our host did graciously let us have a later check out due to an evening flight (largely because of issues highlighted in what we didn't like)

Unfortunately we had no TV access in any of the rooms due to an aerial/or cable issue that was not resolved over the 10 days we were there. Also the dishwasher did not work and was not fixed in our stay here. Our host was apologetic when we arrived and assured us she would get someone out to fix them but no one ever came. She blamed it on technicians being notoriously slow to do work on the island One set of towels (small bath towel and hand towel) given for 10 day stay We were given a change of bedding that we had to do ourselves. There is no cleaner that comes in during your stay. If you want one you will have to pay extra. You have to put money in a box to get air con access, something that was not made clear on the website. The air conditioning is not free. No extra pillows than the one per person provided. If you are tall beds are short. Whilst the property claims that seven guests can sleep here please be advised that anything more than 4 adult guests would be an uncomfortable fit due to the small size of apartment and limited storage space. Many of the cupboards and wardrobes are locked for some reason (looks like storage for bedding and towels), so issues for storing clothes. There is a a security camera placed outside monitoring the front door. I presume to check how many persons are staying. (What is being done with the footage, does it comply with GDPR regulations?) Be advised that the walk up and down from the beach is an extremely steep hill nicknamed "cardiac hill." If you are not fit it will be a struggle. This was our first time doing a private let. In future we will stay with a company where we get regular clean linen and towels and house keeping is done at least every second day and issues like broken appliances are dealt with in a more timely fashion
