    One for the adventurous.
Beautiful chalet surrounded by nature. Peaceful and tranquil, very near Dinan. Virginie was very helpful and made us feel very at home. Loved the outside shower and forest WC.
Come prepared to live off grid. Virginie will supply a cool box and ice packs and battery packs but if you have your own that's great as you can swap them over during your stay. Buy lots of drinking water.

    Magical little hideaway
We really loved this place - a magical chalet hidden in the trees. Very close to the nearest small village but you feel right in the middle of nature. Well equipped little kitchen - no fridge but our host left us a cool box with ice packs, and there’s a gas hob. The tap water comes from a well so if you’re unsure about this, bring your own water. We loved the outside toilet and shower!
We got a bit lost trying to find it as we came along a path from the village but got there in the end!

Super unique and amazing off-the-grid wood cabin in the woods
This location has it ALL! It's secluded, romantic, surrounded by beautiful nature with woods, river, and small reservoir as well as fruit trees and plants in the owner's well-established garden, super eco-friendly. yet close to the historic village of Lehon and Dinan, and very easy to get to shops in Lanvallay. We arrived by bicycle and weren't sure what exactly would be at the end of the long track along the Rance and through the woods to get to this cabin, but what we found was a magical place. It is a fully-equipped wooden cabin with a composting toilet, gas for hot water and cooking, and lots of battery powered lamps for light. No electricity means no fridge, but we used the cold fresh water in a bowl and even though it was hot weather our milk was fine. Bring ice if you're nervous, despite the remote location, there is a huge hypermarche a 15 minute bike ride away so everything is easily available. I didn't miss it! You don't realise how much noise electrical appliances make until it's not there. (Note: we had a solar charger and battery packs for our phones, so that wasn't an issue for us but could be for some people). After an amazing meal eaten outside on the deck, we walked down the wooded track to the Rance. We'd been bicycling the Voie Verte that day, and at one point I'd looked across the water to see a sun-dappled meadow and thought "wouldn't it be amazing to be there!" I thought it was an impossible wish, until we walked into the meadow that is a short walk from the cabin and looked around in amazement to realize that I was in that gorgeous spot I'd glimpsed from the path on the other side! We watched the sun set through the tress sitting overlooking the reservoir with a glass of wine and wished we weren't only staying one night! We will be back.
My one, very minor request would be screens on the windows so the windows could be left open at night without worrying about security, mosquitos or other bugs. It was a hot night so it was stuffy with the windows closed, and we slept with them open without issues but it did make me a little less relaxed.

A minimalist camping style cottage perfect for those who want to be surrounded by nature.
The nature surrounding the cottage is beautiful right next to a private large pond. My husband loved the outdoor shower with warm water. Overall, the cottage has a lot of potentiel and has a great concept.
It was shocking to find out that the property wasn’t precised about the type of cottage it was. There’s no electricity which means no light. We were given 3-4 flashlights to be able to see. Although the fairytale lights are pretty, it doesn’t light the room enough making it impossible to cook. For the kitchen, it was not well equipped (No cooking oil, no mitts, no towels to dry the dishes, etc.). Also, We didn’t expect to have a dry toilet either. This should be heavily mentioned in the description as we were in shock to be told that we had to tie a knot into the bag we did our businesses in. Also, we were hoping to use the fire place (considering it gets cold at night and there’s no heating) but it was bolted shut. Luckily we were given a box full of blankets which we used. Lastly, the bed itself is a spring mattress with couch pillows making it really hard to get a good nights sleep.
