Gate House Lodge

We stayed at Gate House Lodge in May. Parking was easy, local (almost opposite the lodge) and free. The apartment was small but plenty big enough for two and a spaniel. The bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water and everything was clean. We didn’t use the kitchenette facilities but everything looked good! We were able to explore everywhere in Dinan on foot from here. It is a great place to stay.

Très bon emplacement pour ce logement situé au pied du château. Equipement cuisine (vaisselle, poêle, etc...) récent et suffisant pour deux.

Dommage qu'il ne soit pas possible d'aérer facilement le logement, la seule option étant d'ouvrir la porte fenêtre donnant directement sur la rue...

The location is the main attraction for us in Dinan and we park our motorbike on the pavement outside. The living area is comfortable with large french doors making it airy and cool. The kitchen has everything you need for basic self catering. Good information is supplied and if that's your thing, there's a TV and loads of DVDs. You can walk easily to supermarkets for supplies or enjoy the many restaurants and creperies recommended nearby. We've stayed twice and found it meets all our requirements. Dinan is a lovely and lively town and a good base for day trips to Saint Malo and the coast or Dol de Bretagne etc.

The shower is small and a bit basic but manageable.
