Wonderful. Would stay again if visiting.

The hostess/manager was the best. Kind and attentive and so helpful. Arranged boat trip pick up for us from the hotel "dock". Breakfast was amazing, healthy, filling and so well presented with lovely choices on a la carte. Lovely to have the choice to eat outside by the water. Quieter area away from main Kotor along a narrow road with amazing views. Restaurants, shop and bakery very close by for other meals. The bus stops outside but timing not very reliable. Cheap way to get in to main Kotor.

We made the choice but twin room and bathroom were small and with hindsight we wished we had booked a bigger one. Nothing not to like.

It was delightful & having breakfast on the deck was amazing

It was quiet, the breakfasts were delicious, the front staff were kind & helpful

I was told by the hotel taxi’s would be at the bus depot when I arrived late, but there weren’t any. It was a challenge to get a taxi to stop. Without the help of a fellow passenger I don’t know what I would have done. Not the hotels fault, but possibly better communication would have been helpful

Value for money

The access to the water was easy and convenient. The room was clean and cute. The staff is super helpful and responsive

Excellent place, full of charm and good people

First of all the friendliness of the stuff. No effort was spaired to let us feel satisfied and relaxed. Breakfast very good. Views are beautiful and the outside area by the lake excellent. The hotel is a small stone house and feels like an old fasioned pension. The location on the west side of the lake was very good - not comecialized, quite and lots of parking space.

We reserved a 2 beds room but it unfortunately was very small so they changed it to a big double. That was nice of them

What a gem of a hotel

Tatyana welcomed us during a storm, with umbrellas and lots of helpful recommendations. The rest of our stay was as sunny as you would hope for during August. Swimming from the amazing breakfast terrace was our highlight.

Our attic suite was full of character, very comfortable and spacious for a family of four. It was at the top of three flights of stairs with no possibility of a lift being installed in the delightful old building. That was the only downside and not really a problem at all.

10/10! Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough. The breakfast was the best we have ever had, the private beachside area was stunning, the staff were so incredibly friendly! We didn’t want to leave. We will be back for SURE!

Breakfast was wonderful, fresh cooked, many choices! Staff was friendly and helpful. The building was unique and interesting. However, the beds were the worst we have ever had. Too soft!

Such a gem of a place in relatively quiet surroundings on the other side of the water from much busier Kotor. Lovely waterside terrace, comfortable bed, great breakfast... all brought together by Tatjana who will do all she can to make your stay perfect....

Absolutely perfect in every way!

The suite we stayed in was wonderful. A real little sanctuary . Tatjuna, the host/manager was so welcoming and made the best breakfast! This was the second time we have stayed here and we will definitely return. The location is perfect too.

Amazing location, staff and breakfast!

The hotel staff are so friendly and accommodating - they truly make this place! The hotel is right on the sea front in the Bay of Kotor, it's so beautiful. The location is perfect for escaping the bustle of Kotor, whilst also having a magical experience on the coast. The breakfast was delicious - mostly homemade produce and a lovely choice.

Truly, a boutique hotel: as far as i could tell, with only six rooms. It is situated c.10 minutes drive from the centre of Kotor and owns a terrace with loungers and a table for six, right on the sea. There is space for three cars in front of the hotel, and 3-4 more in a gated space 50 metres down the road. Special thanks to the reception staff - and doubly so for the lady who ran after our car with my reading glasses which i forgot to take. Thank you!

There are much better options in the area. Great location but it looks that the hotel hasn't been refurbished for years We got a bit fooled by the amount of 'stars', this is a 2 stars at best.

Room on third floor, stairs only...not help with our 30kg luggages Beach chairs were really uncomfortable Matrasses: rock hard No real bar and no restaurant... Micro TV's are ridiculous No curtains in the bathroom, your parts on display to the neighbors when you shower...

The place is charming and definitely a plus for having a private "beach". The staf was nice and helpful, each day tasty breakfast (good variety, freshly baked cakes, home made jogurt, omelettes, great coffee and orange juice), air conditioner in the room is a great plus for those really hot days.

The only thing that was not ok, from my point of view, it was the quality of the mattress - I had issues sleeping on that mattress and it affected my rest. This is the only thing that would require improvement, the rest was great.

Beautiful calm and cozy hotel with great private beach

I had great time at Galathea hotel, and property defintely exceeded my expectations. I would highlight extremely friendly and helpful stuff in first place Tanja. Furthermore, beachfront location is great, and hotel has private beach. Breakfast is also very good, with possibility to eat on the beach.

Superb

The staff was so friendly. Breakfast was lovely (always yoghurt and fruit, some sort of cake, coffee, juice and eggs or pancake). So nice to have that right by the water! Bus connection to Kotor is easy and cheap (once per hour, 1,50€). Access to the water is very nice. Also had a parking spot which was great. Lovely restaurants in walking distance!

It's a bit far off Kotor, but that's okay, you just need to know it. The road leading to the hotel is very narrow and sometimes very stressful to drive (especially with rental cars which shouldn't get any scratches). WiFi and AC had some problems on our last day but nothing too bad. Would be good to have one or two more tables by the water as the two tables there are always taken.
