Meltzers Apartments

Apartment was clean and located near to main attractions. Area felt very safe and easy to from the Bergen train station. There are two supermarkets within a 4 minute walk (REMA and Kiwi). Loved that it had a washing machine and a dryer that worked well. Nice size refrigerator and freezer. Apartment was well-supplied with dishes and cookware. Check in instructions and codes for entering the apartment were clear and easy and were provided prior to arrival. There was a booklet with recommendations of places to eat and bars to check out and other suggested things to do.

Upon arrival, we had to put the sheets and pillow cases on each of the beds (that’s a first for us). WiFi in the apartment was weak and we kept losing the signal on multiple devices as they are using a 5G receiver. Ended up using my phones hotspot more than the WiFi. The apartment was on the top floor. There is no elevator, which is fine, but the staircase is narrow and winding, which was not ideal for an elderly person traveling with us. Apartment did not have disinfectant sprays for us to clean counters, etc., although I think these were available upon request. I would have preferred to have this available to us upon arrival as is normal is most apartments we rent.

Prima locatie in een rustig zijstraatje. Eigenlijk is heel Bergen wel rustig. Goed ingericht appartement.

Geen magnetron. Bedden waren niet opgemaakt en in de kleine slaapkamer was dat ook een lastige klus omdat je niet naast het bed kunt staan. Vervelende open ruimte boven het bed. Bedden zijn wat zacht, maar voor mij wel oke. Onvoldoende verduistering mogelijkheden. Voor de prijs mag je meer verwachten.

The apartment has three bedrooms, and importantly, two bathrooms, which is perfect for our group of six. The kitchen is fully equipped. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Bryggen area.

The alarm on the sink is beeping very frequently, causing the water to stop flowing. I have to press the reset button very often.

location is good, walkable to main attractions.

The room is on the 4th floor, without lift, with big luggage, it's hard for woman to bring to our room. Even inside room, there is additional stairs....It's really big challenge for us. As guest, we were required to put sheet and quilt cover on the bed by our own, we found hairs on the bed, maybe other quests left.
