Felt like Home

The lodging was clean, well-ordered, and felt like home. There were many home-like details, including fresh eggs & bread and all the soaps, shampoos, and cleaning products you might need. The hosts were helpful, friendly, and easy to talk with. We like this place and hope to visit again.

Cosy fire ,very fresh eggs for breakfast or anytime laid by the hens on site,lovely local area for walks or cycle path ,near to town.

Comfortable and private accommodations with lovely hosts

The hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our two-night stay comfortable. We were greeted with fresh eggs, butter, milk, Irish brown bread, Tayto crisps and biscuits. The apartment is separate from the main house (good for privacy) and well equipped with anything one could need, including a washing machine. When our washing didn't dry on the hanging rack outside by the next day, our lovely host Anne went above and beyond and dried AND folded our clothes for us. The location is only a few minutes drive from Donegal town but it's not easily walkable. Free parking is available right outside the apartment. Worthy to note that the hot water is on a timer so you'll need to plan showers 45-60 minutes ahead of time if you want hot water and keep your showers somewhat brief, but that was fine.

Nothing to complain about. The only suggestion is as others have said, perhaps consider labelling some of the switches (some are already labelled, but not most). For example, it took us a while to work out how to turn on the washing machine (there's a switch on the wall that is not labelled). Or perhaps put together a small "cheat sheet" with a few details/pics to help avoid confusion.

Perfect cosy weekend away

Loved arriving to a lit fire after a long drive, very cosy and was the perfect little reset weekend we needed. The LEDs helped give the room a nice cosy touch, along with the Tayto, fresh eggs, butter & milk.

Quiet, peaceful location with great hosts.

It was very quiet and peaceful, yet in an excellent location, just a short drive to Donegal Town. The owner went out of her way to put me in touch with an historian of Inver Parish to help me with family research. The eggs, milk and bread were a lifesaver when we got in a bit too late and tired to consider going out to dinner.

It's not that I didn't like it, but it is worth noting your shower must be pretty quick so you don't run out of hot water.

Such a clever use of space and the owners were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make it nice. They had the fire on for when we arrived, they provided eggs from their chickens and bread, milk etc to mean we didn’t have to rush off to a shop. They even drove us down to a venue in Donegal for us to save us on a taxi! Really recommend.

Truly, almost heaven!

This is the perfect location to stay for discovering the county and the town of Donegal. The house is very cozy and well equipped with everything we needed. Anne and Conal are excellent hosts and made us feeling warmly welcomed. Thanks also to the owners' hens which enriched our breakfasts with ultra-fresh bio eggs ;-). This place and its owners definitively owe 5 stars!!

On y est comme à la maison. C'est joliment décoré, plein de petites attentions nous y attendaient (feu de cheminée, chips, pain, livres, jeux, protections hygiéniques...) et l'ensemble est confortable et invite au cocooning Literie confortable et douche très correcte Le petit plus : les rideaux sont occultants pour ne pas être réveillé au petit jour 😊 À seulement 45 min de sites magnifiques comme la slieve league Je recommande!
