Sozankyo

I had an amazing two night stay at Sozankyo. As the other reviewers have mentioned the facilities offer a nice mix of old and new. I would like to especially highlight the excellent Kaiseki cuisine I was able to enjoy during my time here. I have stayed at a lot of Ryokan over the years (at a similar price point or more ) but the quality of the locally sourced ingredients, the care which with everything was prepared and the presentation was really a highlight for me. Again: My compliments to the chef ! Super friendly, accommodating staff!

Traditional Ryokan with exceptional service by polite and friendly staff. Dinner and Breakfast prepared with local produce. Comfortable beds, amazing quality of hot spring brought into the property directly from the near by water source that makes your skin so smooth after bathing. This place has been running over 100 years. Make sure to take a look of a beautiful room on the ground floor kept as original condition how Akiko Yosano and her husband used to stay. Absolutely gorgeous place.
