Great location to explore Shrewsbury

Lovely cottage close to town centre and great choice of pubs/restaurants. Around the corner from the theatre so we took in a show too. The place is warm and cosy with comfortable bedrooms and beds. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed.

The wet-room layout of the shower is not very effective but this was not something that bothered us a great deal.

Would have preferred a 'Welcome Pack' ie: manual for all appliances, detailed visitors map of Shrewsbury, history of the town & sites to visit. It was basic instead of homely: no tea towel, no hand towels, lockable parking post had disappeared

The property was conveniently situated for our needs.

The property was clean, it was well located for visiting relatives

The parking space did not have the parking lock as advertised and therefore was not always available. The small yard with seating was covered in weeds. There were no batteries in the bedroom to remote. There was an out of date internet connection code displayed in the property (confusing). The shower was designed badly, resulting in it being impossible not to soak the room when showering and the window didn’t open in there either.

The garden at front and back was unkempt, had a big problem with the front door . Struggled Friday , Couldn’t open it on the Saturday . Someone came out waiting quite a while so was cold waiting outside.

Great location, needs some improvement/attention to detail

The location was great for us and the property was well equipped for our needs.

The parking was a little awkward but it’s a big space once parked. The parking post was down when we arrived as it was broken. We did report it straight away. The place needed a good clean and there was ‘stuff’ in the cupboards dotted around the sitting room area. The kitchen had multiple large bottles of cleaning solutions which wasn’t great considering we had our 4yr old with us. The bathroom was clean but the toilet roll holder and the towel rail were both broken. Also the floor was extremely dangerous when wet as there isn’t anything stopping water covering the floor when having a shower. The stairs were in need of re-carpeting as some of the spikes holding the carpet in place were sticking out and the carpet was quite slick. A rail could be added to make it safer. Both bedrooms had ‘stuff’ in the wardrobes, which looked like cleaning products and a large yellow bag of dirty bedding, which made us not want to use them and hang our clothes up. One of the carpets was quite stained and there were marks on the walls. Some of the lights weren’t working. The blinds, skirting boards and bed needed a good dusting.

idea cottage for young couples , well located to town, but also a quiet .

very easy walking distance to town and restaurants. There is an abundance of shops , not just high street stores but lots of little shops offering a wide variety of goods.

Beware if you are of a certain age, the stairs are very narrow and steep, a little daunting if you have knee or hip problems. The bathroom is also down stairs, this became a problem as my husband needs the bathroom a couple of times during the night, and with the stairs, quite a worrying experience. The front of the property needs some TLC , there are a loads of weeds and generally unkept and scruffy. There isn't anything in writing , saying where the parking is ! Finally the stair light isn't working , there is a motion night light at the top of the stairs, which isn't much use when you have to climb a dark stairwell to activate it. The window blind is broken in the lounge so we were unable to let natural light in .
