I always book this Shepherds hut if it’s available for my regular trips to Wales and now it feels like a home from home.

Couple stay with dog

Pros: Absolutely stunning location, so peaceful and amazing views. Surrounded by farm animals and nature with mountain views. Dog friendly enclosed garden. Attentive host, had one issue on arrival which was sorted promptly. Very clean. Liked the interior, brilliant hot shower, modern clean kitchen facilities. Easy to walk into town if needed.

Cons: Mattress 100% needs replacing, very thin and soft. Bbq could do with a good clean or being completely replaced. More kitchen utensils, glasses, pans etc would be useful. First self catering lodge I've stayed in without any tea/coffee, no dish cloth, no tea towel. I think these should be provided as standard. On saying that, the location did make up for the above as it is beautiful. If the above issues were addressed, we would definitely return. Just felt that for £125 per night, there were a few bits missing that would have made our stay more comfortable and better value for money.

Just what was needed, a tranquil holiday setting with amazing scenery in a superb shepherds hut.

The view was just amazing. The hut was big enough for 2. Super shower and always hot water. Was extremely peaceful!

The host was immediately on and sorted an issue we had.

Everything! Surrounded by sheep and nothing else! So relaxing, amazing views, and all you need. Felt safe and secure as a solo traveller. I could have stayed a week!

Gorgeous hut, with wonderful views surrounding. Expansive and a wonderful place to stay. Would recommend and stay again.

The location was beautiful, expansive views of the mountains and a feeling of spaciousness around the hut. Gorgeous trees. Lovely hut, all facilities that are needed, clean and with lovely views.

Lovely relaxing break

Everything about this little hut was amazing so cozy really comfy, the view was amazing the weather was just a bonus too! The owner was very friendly and only a message away if needed. The hut was very clean and had everything you needed sitting out watching the sheep was very relaxing too. I will deffinitely consider returning here had such a lovely relaxing weekend it was very well needed! :)

stunning amazing place to stay over and just absorb the sounds of sheep baaaa away

location was spectacular , soooo peaceful just us and the lambs and mama sheep and the beautiful cadar views. couldn't ask for anything better away from it all and people. it was just beautiful place to sit and just switch off. loved it all and would definitely return . I just love being around nature and the hut met all our needs .

i loved the whole stay -i would say there was nothing i didnt like. but a few little extra touches would make the hut a 5 star ,, mirror in bathroom, frying pan , and more cooking pots, and better knifes for those of us who like to self cater. and basics like washing up pads, brushes etc . the bed mattress could do with replacing as not the most comfiest

Lovely weekend in a perfect location

I was only there for 2 nights but considering the time of year, I couldn’t have asked for better weather. The hut was really nice in a stunning location, it has almost everything you need, add a frying pan and job done. It’s in a perfect place for heading out for a day in the mountains and Dolgellau is only a short drive away for shops etc.

A beautiful place in the middle of a field surrounded by sheep – so relaxing and peaceful. Sean, the owner, was so helpful; I couldn't ask for more. We will be back. The only fault I can think of was my other half's snoring. 🐷

Exceptional

Absolutely lovely stay. Very secluded, which is what we wanted. Hut was immaculate. Weather for the time of year was exceptional. Views from the hut were amazing. Was made to feel any need would be catered for, but was left to enjoy our holiday. Which was perfect for us. We will definitely be returning.

If pushed to be at all critical of any minor thing, it would be the size of the fridge. A little too small.

Stay at the shepherd's hut.

This hut was exactly as described. It is in the most perfect location. We sat outside eating breakfast and supper with the most incredible views you could imagine. Our dog was safely contained and happy. The facilities were great. One of our loveliest stays in this country. Wonderful. Met the owner who was really friendly.

You won't regret staying here!

The place was so perfect for a few days away. The views were stunning, the little paddock was really secure so we could let our dog chill outside whilst we had a bbq. The hut was so well equipped, from a hot shower to all the cutlery we needed. Even had camping chairs under the bed so we could sit out in the evenings. We had a great night sleep both nights and loved exploring the area. Right on the doorstep of the loop so we did some hikes and managed to see some jets. We will be back!

The place was really well equipped and everything was excellent quality. The only thing that could have been better was the fridge. It was a decent size for a camping fridge but wasn't hugely cold. Not sure if you could fit a proper fridge in there but considering all the other facilities were so good it was the only thing that made it feel like you weren't in an actual house.

Everything was perfect. The owners instructions where very helpful in finding the property. Except we couldn’t use the road they suggested as there were roadworks and it was shut. A small notice of some sort on the gate would have helped as we approached from a different direction. Otherwise no issues at all

Stunning location !! Will likely not suit everyone but we thought it tremendous ! We had walked up Cadair Idris that day and good to look across at it. Nice outside seating area ! Bit snug inside but OK for two and not too much luggage.

Not necessarily didn't like - but you should like sheep and their bleating during the stay. Partly our fault but getting details of the location - and it would be good to have the name on the gate. Bit difficult getting the key with the code - took a bit of prizing out.

Hidden gem!

We had a fantastic stay and didn't want to leave! Beautiful location and fully enclosed so we could let the dog roam free around the hut. Excellent facilities - everything you need (mini fridge, mains power, shower/toilet, sink, cutlery & crockery, TV and a BBQ outside!) Easy to find and we had a perfect stay!

Our only issue was that the bed wasn't super comfortable, but for 3 days it was fine. A new mattress would do wonders.
