Amazing characterful property. This is my second stay at this place. The host Serafina is very friendly and welcoming. The property is super stylish and tastefully decorated by the hosts. Its great value for money, 2 mins drive from the center of Dolgellau. Will be coming back for short stays again.
Nothing, all was superb.

Views , interiors , paintings …. Superb .
Double Bed is bit smaller for a couple. But that not a big problem if you are coming for a night .

Amazing decoration, extremely friendly, available and accommodating owners.
We loved the breakfast opportunity.
Very good base for hikes.
Dolgellau offers good possibilities for eating or even having a coffee.
The only thing maybe was the low pressure in the shower.

The breakfast was a continental and had all the things you would expect, some nice coffee bags supplied and fresh milk and bread and orange juice.
the location a short distance from the main town, I would guess 10-15 minute walk with great views and set in nice grounds with good parking.
we stayed for 2 nights and we did not get clean breakfast cups, plates and cutlery for the second morning's breakfast but this was just small thing and I assume this would have been done if we were staying longer, it certainly would not put me off recommending it or staying again which I would love to do. 😊

The hostess was very thoughtful and, as one of us is very allergic to dogs and cats, kindly offered a recently refurbished room that had not had any pets staying in it.
The room was very spacious and the view was fabulous.
I woukd have liked to stay longer

Greeted by a wonderful host. The building is exceptional & the room was more than we could have expected. It has a really quirky vibe & atmosphere. The facilities were fab & the room pre-set with everything we needed for breakfast. Bed super comfy & slept really well
Nothing! Everything we needed was supplied.

Great Overall Experience, Good Breakfast and the host was really friendly. Spacious apartment. Having to pass the toilet to get to the bedroom felt weird but soon got adjusted. Parking was also available
Finding the location was a bit difficult. The map shows a different location

This place is unreal. Fabulous location & spacious accommodation. To say it is good value for money would be the understatement of the year.
The owners are incredibly friendly & we will definitely be staying here again.

A really informal stay for such a beautiful grand property, Andy made us both extremely welcome. The whole place, not just the apartment, is wonderfully decorated with a fabulous mix of eclectic art and furniture. Situated just a short walk from town, where we had dinner at the Torrent (as recommended!) delicious food, and live music too!
Just a one night stay for us but I would certainly recommend this property.
I cannot fault the property, our hosts or anything really.....!

The apartment was so spacious with beautiful views. It had everything we needed. It was within easy walking distance of the town- only 10 minutes walk to the pub and restaurants. We hired bikes from Dolgellau Cycles and cycled along the Mawddach Trail, a disused railway line which runs from the town alongside the river to Barmouth.
The shower in the bathroom is one that is over the bath. It was very difficult to get any temperature control- it either ran hot or cold. But it wasn’t much of a problem because just had a bath instead.

Such a beautiful place to stay, calm & peaceful. Comfortable spacious room & Serafina & Andy were very welcoming lovely hosts . Easy to explore several coastal areas from there, I would definitely recommend. My dog very much enjoyed our stay too !

After spending 6 nights in "cosy/quirky" cottages where we didn't have a lot of space - we were delighted as soon as we walked into the Mach Apartment. The Living area was huge - with high ceilings and massive windows overlooking a lovely garden area - with hills visible in the distance. The bathroom was also huge and the bedroom pretty spacious too. As the weather was forecast to be "wet" - we knew we'd be very comfortable if we were unable to get out as much as we'd hoped.
Breakfast was already provided for the two days we were there (so we could suit ourselves re timings) - OJ, Milk, Cereal selection, Butter, Jams, Bread, Yoghurts, Croissants, Waffles. A small fridge to keep things cool, microwave, kettle & toaster. The table was also set up with crockery & cutlery.
The apartment - and the building itself - were full of quirky artwork/quirky touches which made it quite interesting to look around.
No need to take the car to get into Dolgellau village - as you could walk there in about 5-10 minutes. Although worth highlighting that anyone with mobility/fitness issues might prefer to take a car, as it's a downhill walk there/uphill walk back. We didn't use the car - but for those that do, there's a car park right next to the Stag Inn where you can get free parking after 6pm!!!
Pubs galore in the village for eating/drinking in the evenings. We opted for The Ship on both nights as we liked their restaurant area (nice, big & open).
We arrived late afternoon on our first night having had a busy day. The next day (our only full day in Dolgellau) the weather was better than expected, so we left the car and decided to walk The Mawddach Trail from Dolgellau to Barnmouth. Very picturesque and very flat (about 9.5 miles). We hopped on a bus to get back to Barnmouth (a bargain at £2.20 per person for the 20-25minute trip).
Not a major issue for us, but a couple of points about the bathroom:-
1, From the living area, you did have to walk through the bathroom to get to the Bedroom (and vice versa). It felt a little odd, but didn't trouble us too much.
2. Whilst in the bathroom, the large, clear, glass window meant I could see into a room in a nearby house. I assumed that meant they could also see me in the bathroom from that room? There were curtains that could be closed for privacy - but this just made the room very dark. And...it just means the user/customer has to spend time opening & closing curtains before using the room (very minor I know - but who wants to be bothered with that).
So - a wee suggestion...why not put some "glass frosting/film" on the bottom half of the window? This would be an inexpensive way to deal with the issue whilst still allowing as much light in as possible? Or - put some kind of net curtain over the bottom half of the window (Cafe Curtain?). Again, this would protect the user from prying eyes whilst allowing light in. Also, it would prevent users from pulling & hauling on the lovely curtains in there (as it could sometimes take a couple of attempts to close the curtain due to the rail being up high and the curtains catching on the bit where the rail was extended).

Fantastic shabby chic apartment in an old majestic house that is still a work in progress, but don't let that put you off!Hosts were fantastic, along with Bonnie the dog, and cats Monty and the majestic TC! The grounds were incredible, with a hot tub to boot, extra cost of course, but worth it. Up the hill from the main road so it's nice and quiet. We didn't want to leave and we really needed to stay longer than the two nights we booked.
Very wobbly bathroom sink-needs securing to the wall, and in our apartment, a short steep set of stairs down from the living room to the bathroom, so think it would benefit from a handrail. A blind up to the bathroom window would be appreciated but we just shut the curtains. There is no Just Eat, Deliveroo etc and none of the local takeaways offer delivery. The centre is full of cramped little streets so parking is a problem, and it's pay and display until 6pm. Think Gwynnedd council wants us to pay for parking via card only at pay and display car parks, which is a downright disgrace as we have the right to use cash! This was the case in Harlech, and the pay and display machines offered no instructions on how to pay with cash, just kept asking us to pay via card, so at the beach we parked on the road and walked. No doubt this will annoy the locals but it isn't our fault! Gwynedd council please take note!!! I shall email Gwynned Council also about this matter.

Really good location, friendly owners and spacious, well equipment apartment. Very stylish home! We really appreciated breakfast provisions which were very good and loved Ron the cat! Excellent value for money and super extras, like a good quality robes, scented candle in the bedroom and nice teas and coffees. We would happily return.
It was a little bit confusing working out the bed situation, when it said fold down bed we assumed it was sofa bed. However, sofa was big enough to sleep on and very comfortable even for my 6ft 10” son! Shower pressure could be better….. would have liked to purchase a bag, but was told they didn’t take elections mix payments.
