We were delighted with Bro Dowel. Lovely house, clean comfortable and very well appointed. Great location just a couple of minutes walk from restaurants etc in Dolgellau.

An excellent place to stay, have been going to Dolgellau for many years and will return. Bro Dawel is a great property to stay at, many comforts and fantastic spot. Parking was not much of an issue for us, always space.

Everything clean and tidy warm and comfortable central great value Couldn't work out how to work the heating. Appeared to be on a lot which was great in January but some instructions would be good

A beautiful and stylish cottage in the center of Dolgellau. It had everything you need as a home from home. The cottage was spotlessly clean.

The cottage has a very comfortable and welcoming feel - it makes you feel like you are on holiday. A pleasure to stay there. On the practical side it is well decorated, warm, comfortable furniture and has excellent range of equipment - utensils etc. Everything works.

The cottage was perfect and very toasty warm when we checked in at 4:00PM The location was great for walks and being in town, it was ideal for strolls to the pub for food and good beers The fittings were a high quality. A lot of money has been spent on the cottage The bathroom has a fantastic digital shower (walk-in) with rain and handheld shower options. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with good quality bedding and furniture. The towels provided were soft and ‘bath’ sized. Again, something simple such as the softness of the towels is reflective of the attention to detail, that the owners: Gary and Lisa, provide. The location in Dolgellau is perfect with a very short walk to local pubs and restaurants for eating. We eat at The Ship Inn a couple of times – their Sunday roast was superb and very good value. Outside the cottage is a large decking area with stone BBQ. Not really the weather to properly use it in late October, but in Summer, it would be a great area to sit out and enjoy a summer evening. I love the size of the cottage. It’s in a narrow street with lots of other similar stone and slate cottages. Absolutely gorgeous.

I have to put something here so the only issue is that naturally, with Dolgellau being an old town, its not designed for today's car ownership. Parking can be difficult, but that's part of the beauty of being in a town like Dolgellau - there, a negative as a positive) :-)
