We loved our stay here, and were gutted that it was only for one night.
From the moment we stepped in we had the warmest welcome and were blown away by how grand the building was and how great the decor was.
The room itself was HUGE and the brilliant decor carried through from the entrance hall into the room. The bed was 10/10 for comfort and all of the breakfast items were a fantastic addition.
We'll definitely be back to stay next time we're in the area! Thanks!

Beautiful house with quirky decor. Spacious rooms. Kitchenette area had a microwave, kettle and small fridge which was a nice surprise.
Bathroom was separate to the bedroom which meant we had to walk into a common area to get there, not too much of a problem but a little annoying and had to be appropriately dressed as ran into other guests.

It was spacious and the location was excellent.
The breakfast was fairly meagre and the breakfast supplies were not automatically restocked. You needed to ask for replenishments and this was not pointed out at first. Getting to our bathroom involved leaving the main apartment and putting the door on the latch before negotiating steps which were not easy in the middle of the night.

The hall was easy to find on Google maps
We were greeted on the path by the owner who showed us inside and showed us to our suite- he was very nice
The hall decor is quirky and gives the place character and charm
The suite is a large and offers the space to relax, make a coffee and enjoy one of the many books in the room.
The table in the kitchen is set up for breakfast with a nice choice of cereal, fruit and pastries. The small fridge has fresh juice, milk and yoghurts. There’s plenty of tea and coffee to enjoy throughout the stay.
Whilst the bed was very comfy, I’m 6ft 1 so I could have done with space at the end of the bed to hang my long legs over the edge of the bed.
The kitchen needs a dishcloth or kitchen roll to clean up spills
The mugs are too skinny especially for coffee bags
The towels were a little musty - an air freshener in the cupboard would solve this.
We closed the bedroom door to keep the heat in the room whilst we went out for dinner. When we returned, the key wouldn’t unlock the door so I had to ring the host to ask for the key. She snarled that the door hadn’t been closed for 3 years so why did we close it?! Well we were trying to keep the heat in and there was no sign to say do not close it. The Yale lock snip could have simply been activated so the door didn’t lock. Anyway, the man found the key, apologised and opened the door.
