Central to main streets of Bayeux. Jean Paul was a marvihost and very attentive. Excellent breakfast!

All was great!

Jean Paul was a fabulous host. His beautifully renovated 13th c. house was the perfect location--the view of the Notre Dame cathedral, the old beams, the winding stairs...it was everything we enjoy about Europe. The bath area was completely new, double sink, lovely. He provided everything we could need: robes, toiletries, brochures and maps, and was helpful with all our questions. Such fun to talk to. Parking was easy, half a block away, with the whole of Bayeux literally out our door. one day we mentioned we wanted to try a traditional Normandy dessert, and the next day he included it as part of our breakfast. So thoughtful.

At first I was thrown off that the toilet is maybe 15 yards away (but still private just for us). Necessary because of the construction, it ended up not being a deal at all, no different from walking to the hall bathroom in our own house.

Not a hotel as implied. One converted room only in owner occupied 14thC house including open plan bathroom! No lock to room. External toilet access. No TV/radio. No tea/coffee. Basic no option breakfast of croissants & bread jam only. One egg on last day. Room not serviced through stay. Offer to use owner's living quarters declined.
