About this apartment rental
Peacefully nestled on a hillside, in a small mountain hamlet, this is the perfect hideaway to escape from it all. Ideally located to enjoy hiking and biking, this comfortable retreat is surrounded by nature and can accommodate up to four guests. Situated on the second floor, the property enjoys beautiful mountain views from its sunny balcony and private garden. Guests will also enjoy the pretty, alfresco dining area and BBQ.
Inside, the property has a rustic charm. The comfortable entrance opens directly into the large kitchen and warm living room, furnished with a comfortable sofa, dining table with chairs and a wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fitted with an oven, cooker hob and fridge freezer. Each room has direct access to the balcony.
Sleeping
Bedroom 1: The spacious first bedroom is furnished with a double bed, armchair and a large wardrobe.
Bedroom 2: The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds and a wardrobe
Bathrooms
The bathroom (accessed directly from the balcony) is fitted with a shower, washbasin and WC

The rugged Onsernone Valley is sometimes described as the wildest valley in Switzerland and is known for its thick forests, spectacular gorges and white water. The hamlet of Vergeletto is close to more than 10 hiking trails, all enjoying the most incredible scenery and views that will stay with you forever. Guests can also take the cable car in Zott, (a 7-minute drive away) to Alpe Salei reaching 1,783m.
Locarno is the closest city to stock up on supplies however, guests will also find a small food shop nearby. There are also many small towns in the Onsernone Valley where guests can find out more about the region’s history, find basic supplies and discover the local bars.
Locarno train station is a 45-minute drive away and the closest airport to the accommodation is Milan Malpensa, a 2hr 8-minute drive away.
