Esens and Bensersiel A vacation offering relaxation, tranquility, and plenty to do
The “Haus Wiesen- und Waldblick” building, featuring two vacation apartments, is located in the North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel, directly adjacent to the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park,” which has been a “UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site” since 2009. The vacation apartments are located in an excellent, very quiet residential area in the southern part of the charming old town of Esens. The house is situated on a small side street with no through traffic and yet offers ideal access to all directions, whether by car or bicycle.
The vacation apartments are tastefully furnished in various styles, very cozy, and well to very well equipped with modern amenities. Spanning approximately 70 square meters, couples—even those with a child—and individuals
will find everything they need for a thoroughly enjoyable vacation at a very reasonable price.
Both vacation apartments were renovated and modernized in February 2022 (“Andrea”) and December 2023 (“Gesine”). The balconies of both vacation apartments face the southwest side of the building, making them ideal for winding down a beautiful day with a sunset view.
The city center is about a five-minute bike ride away, and a five-minute walk will take you to Lidl, Aldi, and another supermarket with a bakery and butcher shop.
We’d be happy to tell you all about the amenities of our cozy and charming “Bear Town,” which is over 475 years old and features a historic town center, as well as the “highlights” of the North Sea spa town of Bensersiel. For example, we also have plenty of events—both big and small—and museums. Or you can simply enjoy some true peace and quiet in your lovely vacation apartment and on the beautiful balcony.
Head south from Esens and go for a hike in the Schafhauser Forest and the adjacent moor nature reserve. Or explore East Frisia even further by bike. There are many rewarding bike tours and beautiful destinations to discover.
Or, for example, head north by bike along the beautifully situated old narrow-gauge railroad track, then across the idyllic marshlands and, if you like, along the “Benser Tief” to Bensersiel. This way, you’ll reach the beach at a leisurely pace, feeling fully refreshed.
Of course, you can also get there by car in just a few minutes, but by bike you’ll reach the sea and Bensersiel—about 5 kilometers away—in complete peace and quiet, having already breathed in plenty of healthy sea air, and you’ll be able to fully enjoy the beach and the many tourist, spa, and vacation facilities.
Our location is ideal for long walks, bike rides, and explorations of East Frisia’s unique natural landscape. This way, you can enjoy an active yet relaxing vacation on the North Sea and make the most of the North Sea’s invigorating climate.
By car, you can reach Bensersiel or the North Sea spa town of Neuharlingersiel in 5 to 15 minutes. You can also easily reach both of these Siel towns and North Sea spa resorts by bus.
The North Sea spa town of Esens-Bensersiel has plenty to offer for relaxation, sports, and recreation—for example, beaches with playgrounds and beach chairs, tennis courts, surfing spots along the dike, fitness facilities, beach volleyball, fishing opportunities, and much more.
