It’s not far to the North Sea coast—and thus to the dike, tourist attractions, and spa facilities, such as the two North Seaspa towns of Esens-Bensersiel or Neuharlingersiel, or in Dornumersiel. You can explore the area wonderfully from here, especially by bike!

Visit the “Nordseetherme Bensersiel” water park in Bensersiel, a modern, heated fun and leisure pool for the whole family. The therapy center (including all spa facilities) as well as a modern wellness, sauna, and fitness center are also located there. Or head to the beach to explore the new beach portal featuring “Bennis Abenteuerland”—a covered beach area for younger children. Go for a hike along the dike or in the “Lower Saxony Wadden Sea National Park.”
Bensersiel’s fantastic offerings are complemented by the over 475-year-old knight’s town of Esens, with its historic town center. Here you’ll find a wide variety of events—both large and small—as well as museums, dining options, and shopping opportunities.
