Tors Park

The apartment was beautiful with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kitchen cupboards and drawers were well stocked and everything was clean and shiny. The living room was very comfortable with a really good selection of games and tv to enjoy. The bedroom was stunning, bright and clean. The bathroom was immaculate with the added bonus of a bath (I was able to enjoy the salts I bought from Lynmouth Soapery). The balcony was large with comfortable lounge chairs and a dining table with chairs. The views are amazing, looking over the valley and town. Over all the apartment is very modern and well maintained whilst keeping a homely and welcome atmosphere. All the staff I made contact with were so friendly and helpful. Love this part of Devon, plenty to see and do in and around Lynmouth and Lynton and in the surrounding area. Convenient access on foot from Tors Park to and from Lynmouth , but paths are quite steep, so be warned! The apartment was excellent, very clean and quite luxurious. Communication from the hosts was very good. Toiletries were provided. Allocated car parking space. Great views of the village from the balcony. Great to hear the owls in the evening after sunset.

The following are minor observations, and didn't really detract too much from our stay. Nevertheless ... The kitchen lacked a few basics, e.g. oven gloves, egg cups, only 1 tea-towel. The welcome pack is an optional extra, not included in the cost of the accommodation. The sofas and chairs in the lounge were low backed, so not that comfortable. A better information pack would have been useful, with instructions on how to use the TV, coffee machine, recommended dishwasher program, etc. The Tors Park App provides some information, but seems more focused on selling extras, the 'personal touch' seemed to be lacking, no face-to-face contact with hosts or anyone from Tors Park during our stay. Anyone familiar with the Lynton/Lynmouth area will know to expect steep gradients and plenty of hairpin bends, but it is worth mentioning that access to the upper car park to/from the village involves a very tight turn!

Location lovely

We couldn’t easily find our apartment. We had to phone to get entry to our room, and the code didn’t work on second day had to wait for a key. But otherwise ok

Difficult to find the rooms, no help available. No map by the carpark. We spent too long after a long journey wandering the site because information given re the property was generic, and not correct. We didnt have to use the lifts, there was no key box, the key code was irrelevant, no lift available to accommodation. It not many steps, but if you are elderly or ill it would have been helpful to have assistance, or a friendly face welcoming you. The wet room shower flooded into the bathroom. The hob was turned off at the mains and difficult to locate.
