Little Corners

Le logement est bien situé dans un quartier très calme à 10 minutes en voiture du centre de Winchester. Il y a de nombreux cafés et pubs aux alentours. La décoration est chic et soignée, la literie est très confortable dans les deux chambres et il y a suffisamment de place. Je reviendrais sans hésiter !

Rien à signaler de particulier, hormis l'absence de lave-vaisselle qui peut déranger certaines personnes, mais c'est bien indiqué dans l'annonce.

The property was accessed via a small gate, through a private garden with decking and a bbq/seating area. There was a well lit porch. We were expected, so the door was open with instructions of where to find the key. The decor was exceptional throughout. No expense has been spared. Velvet cushions, crisp, white, high quality linen on all the beds. Buttoned, velvet headboards. My 14 year old son was especially happy with his double bed and quality crisp sheets. Each bedroom had a small magnifying mirror with cotton buds and there was a full length mirror for checking out our attire (we were attending a wedding). The landing was spacious, so I could set up the ironing board. The iron was good quality, better than my own at home! The bathroom was beautiful! The shower was powerful and the temperature was easy to set. There was a choice of shower heads, hand held spray or overhead “torrential downpour” which my sons loved, spotless slip mats were provided for our optional use, which wax much appreciated as my son has balance issues…so I felt confident he would not slip in the shower. The shower is double sized, and level access. The downstairs area was all integral, which was more than fine…in meant we were all together, whilst my son set himself up on the breakfast bar with his computer, my other son sat at the table, my husband watched Netflix and I sorted the breakfast. in fact the photos online don’t do it justice, as it was larger than it looks. The kitchenette area had a lovely Belfast sink, there is an air fryer, plug in hob units, a very good quality microwave (I think it was one of those that doubled up as an oven). There was a coffee pod machine as well as a cafetière! Everything in the kitchen was spotless…with plenty of matching crockery and cutlery, spotless, high quality pans and utensils. There were lots of high quality, matching glasses. I mention the quality of these things, as it made me feel that we were valued guests in an exclusive hotel!

There was nothing I didn’t like, maybe the TV in the bedroom could have been better positioned. But I’m using this space to add more about the quality! The games and books provided were well selected, not just random. I could quite have happily curled up with one of the photo books or novels. When I contacted the host with a question about supermarkets, she responded quickly with a variety of options and distances. Sainsburys and Tesco are less than 10 mins away! Parking for 2 cars. We’d definitely stay again if we were coming to Winchester.

Großzügige Schlafzimmer mit sehr gemütlichen Betten, geschmackvolle Einrichtung und Ausstattung, kleiner abgegrenzter Garten perfekt für den Hund. Gemütliches Wohnzimmer. Blick auf den schön angelegten großen Garten der Eigentümer.

Küchenzeile ist etwas klein, hat aber alles, was man braucht (Airfryer, Induktionsherdplatten statt Backofen und Herd (etwas versteckt im Schrank) und hat uns daher nicht so zum ausgiebigen Kochen eingeladen. Essbank etwas ungemütlich. Keine Waschmaschine.
