The apartment was amazing
We had no heating or hot waster for 25 hrs
The phone numbers in the property to ring no one answered it was a very cold night
And couldn't even have a hot shower

Very Spacious and clean. Even thought we basically used it for sleeping in, we could have hung out all day without feeling hemmed in, like a hotel room.
The Exchange 1856 is less than 10 mins walk away, which suited us and the town centre slightly less.
A decent size kitchen and large bathroom too

Parking! Took us a while to find somewhere on the street. Yes it was a Friday night so everybody was 'home'

The location was perfect for us. We enjoyed walks along the sea front to Cullercoats and Whitley Bay. The heating system (we stayed in chilly November) is easy to operate. All rooms have simple decor which is restful. The double bed was very comfortable and we slept well.
The kitchen is unheated so it was rather cold during our stay. We were there for 4 nights in November and it snowed!

Easy to contact hosts for information etc prior to arrival. Property was extremely well equipped with utensils etc. Welcoming bottled water and snacks available on arrival. Clean and tidy property in easily reached location. Well positioned for amenities, and close to seaside.

The location was ideal for our stay in North Shields we found somewhere to park the car not too far away.The apartment was very clean the beds and bedding were all great quality.The layout of the bathroom was good plenty of hot water a nice big shower enclosure we used the kitchen for making drinks it was well equipped if you wanted to cook but we ate out it was within easy reach of the metro line
A little noisy if the windows were open on a night so maybe a little fan would have been good especially as the weather was hot.

It was very clean, nice bed linen.
We didn’t have any hot water for the evening we arrived or all next day until a plumber came at 7pm, we had to cut short our evening to get back to let the plumber in. I feel the water should have been checked before we arrived as the boiler was in the loft and not accessible.
No mirror in the bedroom with the double bed. Asked through Booking.com for a partial refund but the apartment owners wouldn’t agree so got a voucher from Booking.com but no cash refund.

Well equipped, good quality furniture and lots of room to relax. Nonissue parking on the road which was a bonus. Ideally located for Tynemouth and the Harbour restaurants.

Very clean & spacious. Kitchen well stocked with utensils, plates, cups etc. good location with shops & pubs very close. Not too far to the beach & Tynemouth.
Nothing to dislike. Parking on the street late a night meant you had to sometimes park round the corner on a different street but this was never too far away. Single bed mattresses could have been a bit more comfy but still fine to sleep in.

The property was nicely decorated with a lovely homely feel. It was spacious and we really appreciated the little extras… the cooking oil, the crisps and water on arrival, the milk sachets and coffee sachets. There were lovely poster instructions for easy use of the WiFi and check out. It was well organised.
The overhang above the entrance stairs was a huge issue for slightly taller people, and my son hurt his head really badly while walking up the stairs. A little sign saying “ please mind your head” or a buffer on the protrusion to soften the blow, would be a helpful extra for those who are taller than me.
We also had an issue with the neighbours, who were fighting with each other until 2am in the morning .. the fighting started on Sunday night and we couldn’t sleep because of the noise. There was no disturbance on the Saturday night.. so this might have been a one off incident.

Lovely apartment, big and comfy, lots of space, nice kitchen and bathroom, and the hosts also left us some crisps and biscuits, together with coffee and tea. Lots of parking spaces around and just a few minutes drive away from Newcastle city centre.
We had some issues with locking the main door as the handle was a bit defective.

In de kledingkast in grote slaapkamer was een zak met gebruikte beddengoed en gebruikte handdoeken van vorige gasten!?
Ook in de kast bij de stofzuiger tassen met gebruikte spullen?
Daardoor kledingkast in de slaapkamer ook niet gebruikt.
De personen in de kleine slaapkamer vonden het snachts veel te warm. Als je raam beetje openlaat heb je al vrij vroeg geluid van verkeer.
Appartement ligt bijna op een hoek langs de weg.
