Tynemouth break

Good shower, comfy beds, good sized flat, free on street parking, short walk to tram and beach.

Strong smell of cigarette smoke throughout living spaces.

Mixed experience

Very clean, nice bathroom and main bedroom, good quality bedding and towels, comfy double bed, good provision of plates, mugs, glasses, cutlery etc, washing up liquid, sponge, tea and coffee provided. Netflix available (with own log in).

Single bedroom very small and bare with damp or water damage on wall, daughter not impressed! Sofa in living room uncomfortable. Overhead light in dining area not working, had to eat tea with table lamp pointing at us but still bit dark really. Cold, draughty staircase leading to all accomodation on first floor level with no door at top of stairs (heating within accomodation did work well), smell of smoke from neighbours (air freshner on landing helped). Very busy road with traffic noise all through night disturbed 2 out of 3 of us.

Lovely property, would highly recommend

Staff was friendly and accommodating, gave us extra bedding when requested. We had an issue with the sofa bed when we arrived but the staff resolved it on the day and communication was brilliant. The decor of the property is lovely and neighbours are friendly. I would highly recommend this house to anyone with a family.

The back garden was a little bit overgrown/neglected. And there was a few areas where leaks have happened previously and the damage is yet to be repaired.

Cozy coastal Getaway is a beautiful property with everything you need. Very clean, good communication by the host letting you know the details of everything. Cannot fault a thing. Will definitely stay again.

Nice layout, very comfortable, great location and super bakery around the corner.

Sofa that turns into a bed was past its best and not very comfortable.

The flat is always great. It's a great size and location for us both

There was a communication problem about the change to the key code, which wasn't great, but we resolved it after a bit of to-ing and fro-ing on the phone.

Excellent stay at a really comfortable apartment

The apartment has a great little layout, lovely, big super comfortable beds and the owner was super responsive to my questions. It is in a really area of Newcastle with the seaside just a ten minute drive away, all in all we had a fab stay

The only issue I experienced was that the bedroom curtains didn’t keep the bedroom dark, in fact it was like sleeping with the lights on but apart from that it was a very nice stay.

Great value and comfortable.

It was booked as a cheaper alternative to booking 2 hotel rooms and worked out really well, great value for money, comfortable beds and very spacious property.

A very minor thing is it would be nice to be able to watch a free view terrestrial package on the tv, I say minor as that is not what we were there for.

Unsatisfactory asked for one nights refund but no reply.

Close to town centre

Arriving in -3 deg to no heating on which took a day to warm up. Bathroom light not working, kitchen door handle got stuck so I couldn’t get in. Shower curtain was down & in bath. Coat hook rail in hall fell off. Dog barking constantly left in filthy condition in the yard of the bottom flat. Dirty plates, glasses, hob & table. Dangerous trip hazard on steps to kitchen, hanging lip in risers.

Great location with every comfort!

The location was great, all North Tyneside locations were easily accessible, by car, bus or metro. Parking was no problem on the road outside the property or in side road close by. There were three local supermarkets within a few minutes walking distance, the closest Premier was 50m away! We loved the slightly quirky layout of the property, but thoroughly enjoyed the large amount of space available. The property was lovely and warm throughout with easy access to heating controls. Plenty of hot water was available throughout our stay. We also liked the lounge area which was comfy and the separate dining area which was very family orientated. The kitchen lacked for nothing and we appreciated the crisps, bottled water, milk, tea and coffee available during our stay. oth bedrooms were large and extremely comfortable. Many thanks!

Lovely apartment, excellent and attentive hosts

Lovely apartment, very well appointed and comfy. We had problems with the TV streaming the first night, but our hosts came and changed the tv and streaming service the next morning.. left a lovely box of chocolate biscuits, what a thoughtful touch! Thank you x

The stairs are very steep and as I was staying with my dad and his dog (both of whom are elderly!) it was a worry every time we entered or left the apartment.

Superb

Very comfortable and well equipped flat with easy access to both North Shields and Tynemouth Metro stations.

The neighbours who lived in the downstairs flat were a little noisy on the day of our arrival but we didn't hear them on subsequent days during our stay.
