NEW! 4BR in Spencer street

The street was littered, on street parking difficult, road was very busy and noisy, no outside space, no wheeled bin so nowhere to get rid of rubbish. The beds were comfy and the property seemed clean. It was near the metro so we could go to other places

We were very disappointed with the property. While there were 7 beds, the house itself was not big enough for 6 or 7 guests- only space for a maximum of 4 people on the sofa and armchair. The dining table was very small. The kitchen had very little work space/counter space and a small fridge making meal prep for 6 or 7 people difficult. The kitchen was not well stocked with cooking equipment. 2 of the bedrooms were very small. There was little storage in any of the rooms. The small 'family' bathroom was at the top of the house, up more stairs. The door didnt shut properly. It had a bath with a shower over. The bath was quite tall and not easy to step out of. There was no anti- slip mat. The ensuite in one bedroom was tiny and had a very low toilet and sink (no shower). Anyone over average height would struggle I think. There were lots of stairs in the property, including a steep flight up immediately from the front door making it difficult for anyone with any mobility issues, or for younger children. There was no info pack in the house as is usual in holiday rentals. There was no wheelie bin for the property and the 'stay with us' team advised us to put our rubbish in a someone elses bin, which we thought was unreasonable- we didn't do this as thought it would upset the neighbours. The street was littered, the road very busy and parking was often not available on the street. I appreciate rental companies cannot control the condition of the street but generally this would be reflected in the rental price. In summary, we felt the property was over priced and the photos on the website did not convey an accurate picture. It felt really disappointing. We would not stay in it again or recommend it to anyone else. This is the first time we have used 'stay with us' and if this is the standard of property they rent out, we are unlikely to do so again.
