The cosiest cocoon of a cabin in Donegal

Loved everything - amazing abundant hamper of breakfast foods. Jenny catered for my vegan milk needs. The cabin was so relaxing, cosy and warm - I can’t believe how warm it is inside! I visited at the end of November and it was the warmest I’d felt for weeks. It was also spotlessly clean. Lighting is important for me and this was perfect, to have the option for low lighting in the evening. It’s in a great wee location for exploring, and has everything you need to totally relax. Jenny is such a kind of warm-hearted person and her kindness made the stay so lovely. I got what I needed from the trip, plus a lot more. Thank you!

Everything, from checkin to checkout and everything in between. Our favourite place. Felt like being at home. So warm and cozy. My boys absolutely loved the bread and snacks. Loved Maggie and Jenny is so approachable and lovely. Has everything you need. Jenny sets a standard that no other place can match. My boys didn’t want to leave and we would have stayed but they were booked up!! It’s the little things that make a huge difference and other places could take a leaf out of Jenny’s book!!

Jenny gave us a lovely breakfast basket which included freerange eggs, yoghurts, fruit and delicious soda bread made by Jenny herself. The cabin is very private and I really enjoyed sitting in the private garden.

What a Magical place to stay

EVERYTHING! Robins Rest is just magical - I would absolutely recommend more than 1 night to enjoy this hidden gem! Fantastic communication and welcome. It was just the best place to recharge after travelling around Ireland and to prepare for the next leg of the journey. Our 2 year old was living his best life during our stay here and had the best fun in such a kind, caring, welcoming place! Thank you ever so much :)

Cosy log cabin in an idyllic location

The log cabin was very cosy and comfortable with a private garden area and lovely rural view. The owner was very friendly and hospitable. She left us a generous basket of items to make our own breakfast, including homemade bread and freshly laid eggs. If you are looking for a peaceful location in the Donegal countryside, then we would highly recommend Robin's Rest.

Everything was perfect. We stayed at Robin’s Rest, a charming wooden cottage, and it was an unforgettable experience. Jenny, our host, was truly exceptional – thoughtful, kind, and always ready to help. Her warm welcome and genuine care made us feel completely at home. A memorable place and welcome

The cottage is gorgeous, and so is the garden, but I'd like to share something a bit different. During our week in Ireland, we stayed in four different places. This cottage was the only one where we actually saw and chatted with a person. I know, I know, we're totally in the age of key lockers and digital messages. But honestly, we've been to a couple of spots where they've seen us pull up in the car and didn't even give us a wave! Luckily there's Jenny, who puts her heart and soul into making you feel right at home. A huge thank you, Jenny, for your incredible generosity and all those thoughtful little touches. We really hope to come back someday! P.S. Maggie the dog is super sweet and gentle ❤️

The cabin was carefully decorated and had everything possibly needed (even a hair mask!). The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious, equipped with a nice homemade bread. There are restaurants and pubs within 20min driving, which was perfect for dinner.

Great stay in a lovely wee cabin.

Stayed for 2 nights - 2 adults, 4 year old and 9 month old. Lovely wee cabin. Very clean. Very quiet. Jenny has provides everything that you could need for your stay and more in terms of items in the cabin for the kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen is fully functional kitchen. Room heated quickly with the heating. Lovely wee closed of garden giving a more private feel. Jenny (supplier) kept in touch before and during the stay. Lovely personality. Helped my mum in the door which my mum wouldn’t normally allow someone to do. Made her feel at ease. Very informative information provided about the area. Provided some toys in for the child. Provided a large array of snacks /goodies/home made bread ect which was amazing after the long drive. Jenny also engaged children in her own life with feeding the Poppy the pony, the chickens and playing with Maggie the dog. My wee girl was sick on our 1st night. Jenny didnt make me feel like a nuisance or anything and was very accommodating.

Location wise a car is needed. You cant really just go out and walk. Although 10/20min car journey from about 3 towns.

Amazing stay. Had a lovely time.

Lovely location, very quiet, beautiful garden, and lots of friendly animals. Our daughter was able to experience feeding the chickens, the sweet mule Poppy and her favorite, feeding a lamb a bottle. The host , Jenny, ever so friendly and very accommodating. Would definitely go back given the chance :)

A hidden gem, a wonderful and caring host and amazing location.

The property was so well thought out, with everything that we ever need. It was exceptionally clean and well presented. The host and her family were warm and welcoming. I would thoroughly recommend anybody wanting to stay in this area that they look to stay at this property, as you will not be disappointed.

Only being able to stay one night as we are currently touring the entire island (both north and south) and have only a limited time in each area.

Perfect location. Jenny was fantastic, made sure we had everything we needed. Fab goodie pack on arrival, homemade wheaten bread. Kids loved the animals and feeding them. Had an amazing stay made perfect with all the little extras and a fantastic hostess.
