Big potential, renovation and change management required

The apartment was clean and spacious upon arrival. Located in a nice and quiet neighborhood, close to a large park. The living room, kitchen, and one of the bedrooms were nicely furnished, bright, and comfortable. Good size overall, offering potential for a pleasant stay.

The furniture felt mismatched and lacked a cohesive style. The second bedroom was very uncomfortable, with a bad bed and an unfinished alcove containing an old mattress and sink. (photo) The bathroom was outdated and poorly maintained – looked like it hadn’t been renovated since the 1960s. Major hygiene and safety concerns: washing machine hose draining into the bathtub, and exposed electrical cords and power strip on the bathroom floor. Toilet sink didn’t work and wasn’t repaired despite being reported. The address provided on Booking.com was incorrect; the actual entrance was on another street. Communication with the owner was difficult and only possible via WhatsApp – no response via Booking.com, no calls. Owner was unhelpful, delayed in responding, and reacted aggressively when we requested to shorten the stay. After sharing our concerns, the owner insulted me and acted very unprofessionally – I had to contact Booking.com support to intervene.

wonderful stay with Great Host

property is well located & wonderful host with very warm welcoming & arranging everything prior… flexible with check in & check out as well… very well maintained & everything you need for your stay is arranged in prior… even the key has been arranged to deliver prior to our check in & her mom was waiting before us to give the key… so nice of them… hose is perfect for holiday or work… everything available on the apartment

amazing location and host. it’s probably one of the best areas in Brussels. apartment has all you need to stay. but the biggest pleasant surprise is very nice host. we booked it last moment, and in an hour could already be there

Lovely stay in a convenient location.

The location was great and it was really easy to communicate with our host. The apartment was lovely and light, secure, and well-equipped.

I was expecting that the sofa would be a sofa-bed but it wasn’t, so was slightly less comfortable than anticipated.

Niet voor herhaling vatbaar

De locatie is erg fijn. Dichtbij het Ter Kamerenbos en openbaar vervoer. Het appartment is ruim, er waren twee slaapkamers met ieder een tweepersoonsbed.

De communicatie met de host verloopt niet soepel. Geen reactie op de mail en na telefonisch contact krijg je per app instructies hoe in- en uit te checken. We zijn iets vergeten in het appartement en hebben hier gelijk contact over opgenomen, maar er wordt geen actie ondernomen door de host. In de keuken waren de kastjes van de muur af. Op de muur zat allemaal schimmel en de kastjes stonden los in de keuken. De afvoer van de wasmachine loopt in het bad, waarin je moet douchen. Niet erg fris. Het appartement was niet sfeervol ingericht. De slaapbank in de kleine kamer welke een tweepersoonsbed kan worden, was niet als zodanig opgemaakt. Dit moesten wel zelf doen.

* Super emplacement, proche du centre. * Plusieurs commerces et restaurants accessibles à pied. * Stationnement dans la rue relativement facile. * Cuisine bien équipée avec de nombreux ustensiles. * Salle de bain spacieuse avec savon fourni. * Grand lit confortable.

* Placards fragiles et dangereux. * Appartement vendu comme pouvant accueillir 4 personnes, mais en réalité impossible : l’autre « chambre » n’a qu’un lit tiroir minuscule et inconfortable. * Deux personnes ont dû dormir sur le canapé non convertible, très inconfortable. * Ascenseur en panne, information importante non communiquée pour les personnes à mobilité réduite. * Eau chaude inversée par rapport aux indications, peu pratique pour la douche. * Logement acceptable seulement pour 2 ou 3 personnes, trompeur de le présenter comme 4.

Apartamento bien situado y cómodo

La cocina y el baño necesitan una reforma. Los muebles de la cocina estaban descolgados. La lavadora desagua en la bañera. La instalación eléctrica del baño no era adecuada. Un lavabo no funcionaba. Un dormitorio no tenía armario y la cama no era adecuada. Deberían mejorar la limpieza. Antes de alquilar hay que invertir y mejorar.

Apartamentul este situat langa metrou, de unde am avut acces la tot orasul. Sunt si locuri de parcare in zona. Apartamentul a fost ok, iar comunicarea cu proprietarul fara probleme.

Se mai poate lucra la capitolul curățenie și facilități, apartamentul dă o senzație de puțin învechit. Dormitorul mare a fost ok, dar in cel mic nu s-a putut dormi, nu este atat de comod.

Een comfortabel verblijf in Brussel.

Het appartement is heel ruim en heeft een mooie indeling. De slaapkamers zitten aan een rustige kant zodat je in de nacht geen geluiden hoort. Het contact met de eigenaar verliep goed en je krijgt vrijwel meteen antwoord als je een vraag hebt. Het was ook fijn dat het zowel het appartement als het appartementencomplex heel goed schoon waren. Ook de ligging van het appartement was prettig. Het ligt niet te ver van het centrum, Met tram 8 ben je zo vlakbij het centrum.

De afvoer van de douche/bad loopt niet erg goed door maar toch heb ik dit niet als problematisch ervaren.
