Holly Lodge 12 Hot Tub

The location was perfect, ideal for romantic getaway’s even if u don’t intend to fish. Had everything you could need such as fridge freezer kettle cutlery etc. Large corner bath and basic shower. The bed was also soft and comfortable. OMG, I have never enjoyed a hot tub so much!!

I wouldn’t say there was anything I didn’t like, however for the cost the bathroom could be modernised and decor could be improved such as minor improvements such as holes filled and peeled paint sanded and re-done. Attention to the little details really. I ran myself a bath after some hot water had been used to shower before and after using the hot tub but it was cold, I think the tank only holds so much at a time (but not sure).

Loved where our lodge was situated. Very private. Surrounded by lovely views and wild life.

No one was there to greet us. Took a while before someone arrived to show us our Lodge. We had to phone for assistance even though we had pre booked our arrival time.

Me & my partner visited for his birthday it had a gorgeous view looking onto the lake from the hot tub/decking. Bed was super comfy and comes with a cute starter pack when you arrive ! Staff were all super friendly very accommodating and we had the most relaxing time ! It is close to shops / cafes /pubs and not far from York centre for a trip out. A nice little lakeside walk as well which was nice to walk around. Would 100% return and book this lodge again!!

Could not work out how to use the oven as the markings were rubbed off around both dials so had to use microwave instead. However it does have all appliances available and I’m sure someone would’ve helped us if we asked for assistance 😊
