In 1866 he was given the name of Jean Claude Leupold (1774-1840). He was the son of Jean Jacques Leupold, Swiss-born painter trained in Vienna, Austria, and arrived in Bordeaux in 1766. He became painter to the city, a member of the Academy, and art teacher at Guyenne college. Jean Claude Leupold, distinguished professor of hydrography, and higher mathematics physics at the Royal College of Bordeaux, was received at the Academy in 1798.

The property is very central, but can be noisy esp. with windows open as no AC and hot in summer. Up tight 4 stories so leave heavy bags behind!
Clean and simply appointed. Just enough space for 4 if you ensure to make up the love seat sofa bed every day.
Park at Place Bourse. Take trams or walk as driving around Bordeaux difficult.
