Large, light, spacious apartment, handy for the metro but very well located to see the major sights and areas of Rennes on foot. The apartment was well equipped, nicely furnished and the bed was comfortable. It has all of the equipment and facilities mentioned in the listing. Although the flat is not too high up in this old building, the stairs are narrow and very rickety, so care is needed in using them.
Despite its ample size, the space is not well used. All the clothes storage is in the lounge in a wardrobe filled with other things; cleaning equipment, spare towels and bedding, ironing board and clothes airer. There are a few shallow shelfs in the bedroom and a vanity in the bathroom.
The same is true in the kitchen/dining space, with every drawer, cupboard and worktop filled with crockery and equipment, so there was no space for food storage (other than the fridge), preparation or serving.
The area is full of shops, bars and restaurants but St Anne's Square (near the apartment) is crowded, noisy and a real gathering point for crowds of many types of people. The apartment occupies a corner site where several busy thoroughfares converge and those provide the route away from the busy squares nearby. The streets were very noisy with lots of singing and shouting into the wee hours. Luckily the bedroom was on the slightly quieter street but the screaming, shouting, singing and loud chatter could be heard through the closed double glazed windows and wooden shutters.

Appartement utilisé pour un déplacement professionnel : tout était parfait (propre, bien situé, fonctionnel, en excellent état avec du cachet, réponses de l’agence qui gère le logement).
