Almyros Garden House

Great location, spacious house, had everything we needed. Host was awesome too.

Water pressure was a bit low one of the nights, but totally manageable.

We spent the first part of our family vacation at Almyros Garden House, and the property looks exactly like the photos! The location is simply perfect for families with small children - just about 400 meters away from an incredible, quiet, and peaceful beach with fine pebbles and crystal-clear water. There are several great tavernas nearby, so once you park your car, you hardly need to use it again. The house itself is spacious and extremely comfortable. David is an amazing host! Throughout the time we lacked water pressure, he stayed in constant communication with us, checked in regularly, and did everything humanly possible to resolve the issue, for which we are extremely grateful. The welcome gift upon arrival was also a very sweet touch that showed his genuine care for his guests.

A couple of things left a slightly bitter taste during our stay, though: 1. We hadn't realized that the second bathroom is not actually inside the house, but in an adjoining outbuilding where the washer and dryer are also located. 2. We had a major issue with water pressure - we had virtually no water for the first 2 days. This led to a quite difficult and stressful situation with two small children and four adults needing to shower. Despite the water issue, we definitely recommend Almyros Garden House and thank David for his hospitality!

Overall, the property was a nice stay for us. The location is good, a small walk to the beach, the garden is very beautiful and there is plenty of room, inside and outside. We stayed here two weeks and we liked it. A big plus is the fact that is pet friendly, which not many properties are.

Two things were not ideal. There were evenings when the water pressure in the showers was very very low, to the point where we could not use both showers in the same time. This defied the purpose of looking for a property with two showers for a group of 4 people. Second, there were some rodents in the roof and we could hear them making noises above us in the night. We could not see them, just hear them. Not a nice feeling to sleep with. We contacted the owner who acknowledged the problems but kindly told us there was nothing he could do on short term to fix the problems. Understood, but still, for us was not ideal.
