A wonderful hidden gem in Corfu!

We spent a beautiful week at Estelle‘s place and really loved it! The apartments are beautiful with everything you need and the place has wonderful, cozy spots on the property like the hammock, an outside dining area, the poolside etc. Estelle is such a lovely and likeable host and really goes above and beyond. She offers a bunch of services like free umbrella rental, water for a very good price, laundery service etc. We would definitely come here again anytime!!

Great locations, but several disappointments

The location is definitely one of Spiti Melaniou’s strongest features, just a 5-minute walk from the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped, with everything we needed to prepare our meals in advance. We also appreciated the option to use a beach umbrella for a €5 deposit. Estelle was friendly and welcoming.

The so-called “room with sea view” is definitely misleading, the view is very limited, with only a small rectangle of the sea visible from far away. There is no cleaning service provided, and honestly, when I’m on vacation, I don’t want to clean the room myself; otherwise, I’d have stayed at home. I understand not offering it daily, as it’s not a hotel, but at least twice during the stay would be appreciated, especially considering the price we paid. Estelle is generally a good host, but her knowledge of the island seemed limited, which we found surprising. She recommended beaches that were nice, but far from the best on the island, and even suggested skipping some of the top ones. She also didn’t know whether there were taxis to Afionas, perhaps in this case, a local Greek host would be more helpful. The Wi-Fi situation was also very frustrating. For most of our stay, we couldn’t connect at all, and our mobile internet didn’t work in the room either. Only in the last few days were we able to connect to the Wi-Fi, but it was extremely slow. Whenever we needed to get something done online, we had to sit in front of Estelle’s office. If you’re planning to work remotely from here, I would strongly discourage it. Every morning we were woken up by other guests talking, as the rooms are not soundproof. Lastly, the pool looks much better in the pictures than in reality.

A fabulous place to stay

These lovely apartments are set in a lovely location just 5 mins walk from shops, restaurants and the beach. The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. We paid €30 extra for the air con but you could easily manage without with the lovely breeze throughout the apartment when the doors were open. We loved the pool area and how quiet it was. Our stay was very peaceful ❤️ Towels were changed when requested and a special mention to the hosts especially Estelle who went above and beyond with her hospitality throughout our stay. I would highly recommend these apartments but would suggest hiring a car to truly enjoy everything Corfu has to offer.

Lovely week but we wouldn't stay again with a baby

The property surroundings were lovely and the place was pleasant and relaxing, including the pool. There was a lovely patio and bbq area and useful things like a washing line. It felt homely. The wider area was lovely and didn't feel too touristy.

It was not ideal for our young baby. The room itself was small and not the cleanest - especially the bathroom. We needed replacement towels after 5 days but it was difficult to find the hosts so we made do. The uphill walk in the late afternoon sun back from the beach/ town was tough. 30 euros extra for the air con for a week - I did not pick up on this in the room description. The biggest let down was that there was no water in the property for one evening through until late morning. This made things very difficult for us during the night with nappy changes, bottles, cleaning baby. We used all our drinking water for baby and most disappointing of all was that the hosts minimised this and did not even offer to give us water to help. Luckily another guest did help us out.

Wonderful days and nights in a quiet, relaxing and green area of Agios Georgios. 💯

We had a really awesome stay here! Estelle is a really charming host, always has a smile in her face and it felt really familish from the first day on. We had some really nice conversations, however the privacy was always given and it was nice and quiet in the nights and evenings. We really liked the wonderful garden, the terrace and the lovely barbecue area and especially the outdoor shower, which made the stay perfect. We also got some free mats and a beach umbrella for free and could buy drinking water 6 packs for supermarket prices at the Spiti, thus you don’t need to carry it from the supermarket if you don’t have a car. Estelle spontaneously organized a car rental for us, to visit other parts of the Island and we therefore got a really nice deal. She seems to be very close to many other locals there and had also great tips for restaurants and so on, which was really helpful. The beach of Agios Georgios is not far to reach by feet and a lot of tavernas and supermarkets are also close by. All together we had a super relaxing stay and it felt almost a little like a home during our 2 weeks stay. It is an absolutely perfect accomodation for couples, especially if you like to self supply living in your vacation. We‘d loved to stay even longer and will surely come back if we visit Corfu again.

Exceptional

Location just perfect. Not far from the beach, tavernas, shops and bars, but secluded and quiet, very relaxing. Apartment very well appointed, clean and comfortable. Our hosts, Estelle and Peter have thought of everything to make sure your holiday is as smooth and stress free as possible. If you've forgotten something, chances are Estelle can help. Gardens and pool area beautiful, very well kept and serene, due in part to gardener and friend Yvette, who also has good local knowledge and is happy to share. We will definitely stay here again, no question., already looking forward to it!

Superb

A beautiful garden. Very peaceful place. 5 mins walking to the beach. The owner gave us sun umbrella for free to use it during the stay.

The shower was with very small nozzles so taking the shower tooks a little bit longer :)

A perfect place for everybody

Wonderful place with wonderful hosts. I really recommend it, the studio has everything what you need, the garden is beautiful. It is a perfect place to relax - there is a chillout zone and a small pool. The hosts are very kind, helpful and friendly people. The sea is very near, you can get there on foot in 5 minutes. The beach is not crowded, it is almost empty and really gorgeous. If you are looking for a perfect place for your holidays, choose Spiti Melianou, you won’t regret!

Superb

Just back from our holidays staying with Estelle and Peter at their lovely studio apartments in the idilic peaceful surroundings of their beautiful garden and area. We so enjoyed our time staying here, everything was catered for. The studio was immaculately clean. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment. Estelle and Peter were the perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble, and they were so friendly. We will definitely be returning.

Two weeks in a paradise

We have spent at Spiti Melianou two amazing weeks. We were amazed how beautiful the region was. Our hosts were very helpful and did their best to make our stay comfortable. Our room was very clean and well equipped. The garden felt like a tropical island. We recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a calm and relaxing place for holidays.

Walls are quite thin so we recommend taking earplugs.

Nice with a change of scenery

We really liked how warm and friendly Estelle was, always smiling and always helpful! The room contain everything you need. Close to the beach, which was lovely.

The Wi-Fi wasn’t that good. The fact that you have to pay extra for air conditioning is also quite bad - especially since the room heat up. There were also a lot of mosquitoes and wasps - not Estelles fault but it ruined our chances to enjoy eating/chilling on the balcony… …. Which would be the last point, the balcony/terrace it is as if you would sit next to your neighbour. Very little private space.

Great stay!

Great location (quiet area with tropical feeling) great hosts, the pool is small but very nice to have on a hot day. Beach within 5 minutes walking distance. The balcony was great. Free sun umbrellas and beach mats provided by host. Great outdoor dining area with BBQ available.

Na základě mé zkušenosti v ubytování.

Veliká katastrofa – tak by se dalo jediným slovem nazvat toto „ubytování“. Nenajdu snad jediné pozitivum, ke kterému bych se mohl přiklonit. Musím podotknout, že s něčím takovým jsme se v Řecku, které milujeme a kde jsme vždy měli skvělé zkušenosti, ještě nikdy nesetkali. Jen stěží najdu alespoň polovinu popisu toho, podle čeho jsem si pobyt vybral a rezervoval. Otřesný zážitek, který jsme v tomto apartmánu zažili, nás donutil po jediné noci zrušit celé ubytování, které jsme měli původně rezervované na deset dnů. Paní majitelka vás po příjezdu sice zahrne přehnaným množstvím úsměvů a přívětivosti, ale člověk s minimem zkušeností a kapkou intuici velmi rychle pozná, že jejím skutečným zájmem dle mého pohledu rozhodně není spokojenost hosta, ale především vlastní prospěch!!!

Začnu tím nejzásadnějším: údajný výhled na moře byl takřka nulový, a to navzdory tomu, že v popisu byl prezentován jako zásadní přednost. Velikost pokoje podle mě zdaleka neodpovídala uváděným 20 m² a působila výrazně menší. Klimatizace, která měla být standardní součástí ceny, byla dodatečně zpoplatněna částkou kolem 50 eur za pobyt, což považuji za velmi nefér. Postel o šířce přibližně 130 cm pro dvě osoby byla extrémně nekomfortní a matrace působila až odpudivým dojmem. Místo uváděné rozkládací pohovky, byla pod postelí nevábná a zaprášená matrace, na které by člověk spal prakticky na zemi. V apartmánu chyběl jídelní stůl, židle, věšák na prádlo i jakékoli žehlicí potřeby. Nebo alespoň je nikde neobjevili. Mobilní signál i Wi-Fi byly téměř nepoužitelné. Parkování bylo podle mé zkušenosti velmi nešťastně řešené, kde se auto stavělo mezi velké kameny, kde jsem měl při každém manévru obavu o jeho poškození. Koupelna působila katastrofálně, sprchový kout byl natolik malý, že se tam člověk normální postavy nemohl vlézt, když jsem se zeptal, kde se mám normálně osprchovat, bylo mi s úsměvem doporučeno využít veřejné venkovní sprchy u bazénu se studenou vodou. To pro mě byl skutečný vrchol celé zkušenosti. K Osobně bych toto ubytování nedoporučil nikomu, kdo má rád alespoň základní standard bydlení!!!

Per chi cerca la pace

Un oasi di pace e tranquillità a due passi dal mare. Estelle è una padrona di casa deliziosa, carina e disponibile. Abbiamo soggiornato 7 notti, e grazie alla piscina presente in struttura ci siamo presi anche una pausa dalla spiaggia senza rinunciare ad un tuffo. Grazie davvero di tutto.

Non ho davvero niente di negativo da segnalare, forse mi sarebbe piaciuto un appartamento con degli spazi un po' più grandi

Una delle migliori strutture per una tranquilla vacanza ad Agios Georgios

Oltre all'appartamento la possibilità di avere degli spazi dedicati agli ospiti: una bella piscina con comode sdraio a disposizione, al sole e all'ombra, un'amaca, un gazebo e addirittura un tranquillo salotto dove rilassarsi tra gli ulivi. Non lontano dagli appartamenti anche due ampi tavoli all'ombra con barbecue a disposizione degli ospiti e una comoda doccia esterna. Spiti Melianou è un luogo ben curato dai gentili proprietari dove trascorrere una tranquilla vacanza di pace e relax.
