Just that they were a grate outside that cars were constantly going over and banging all through the night. The £100 deposit that I was not aware when we arrived, this needs communicating before hand. And you get charged £1.20 for the towns tax off your £100 deposit.

Wouldn’t bother staying there again

The location was great and the decor was nice

It was far too hot and stuffy, we’d booked a suite and it felt like it was up in the attic, no windows to open, very small and not very comfortable

Immense stay with a luxury feel in the heart of the city.

Location was perfect, bedding and furniture was top quality

The Air conditioning could be more up to date as the pad on the wall was faulty and the AC unit itself was old

Room and bathroom not massive but clean , well furnished and functional . Staff were polite

Breakfast was not what I would have ordered. I would charge all the residents slightly more , drop the muffin and the muesli and provide a decent pastry and croissant.

A complete waste of money

Good location for my hyrox event.

Stayed here to make my hyrox race day less stressful… Should have saved my money and stayed home. The shower flooded our room - cleaned up ourselves with all the towels, informed staff but no new towels provided. Faulty electrics meant the lights wouldn’t turn off in the bedroom. Very bright and right above the bed. Air conditioning not working - very hot in the bedrooms. Moved rooms at 10pm - no help from staff at all. Breakfast ordered for 7am - didn’t arrive. Went down and got the breakfast hamper myself. No help offered.

Ordered a birthday platter and my partner whose birthday it was got a message to say the delivery was unsuccessful because no one answered 🫣 - we were a few mins late coming back but I had no way of contacting the property as he was with me - but I’m not sure why he got the text and not me when the booking was made by me with my details. Also paid for late checkout through booking.com which hadn’t been inputted on their system so were woken up by house keeping to check when we were leaving. Just a bit of miscommunication - didn’t affect the overall stay we still enjoyed ourselves.

Room was beautiful but breakfast left our stay on a low.

The room was stylish and clean and the bed was comfy.

I paid extra for the hotel breakfast when booking the hotel and told the staff I’m vegan. They said they’d see what they can do and they might be able to get me some oat milk. I was given a 79p breakfast bar, some mini belvitas and a glass of orange juice. If I have known I was paying for this I wouldn’t have bothered.

Nice Atmosphere and Bar. In a good location too. The main issue i had was with the bed.

Decor has had a lot of effort put into it. Bar was decent, and whilst pricey probably no worse than most of Manchester city centre these days. Bathroom was very good.

The lift was intermittently out of service through our stay, couldn't be helped on the one hand but kept going out of service again after an hour or two. My main issue was with the bed though, way too high, and the mattress was quite uneven. Still, I've stayed in plenty worse places but it's priced where I'm being consciously harsh with the cost in mind.

Very disappointing!

The bed was comfortable.

No hot water so couldn’t have a shower. We reported it to reception. The young lady we spoke to wasn’t very happy! She said she’d only just started her shift and said our complaint wasn’t what she needed first thing; which was about 9:45 am, in a Sunday morning. She wasn’t very helpful and made us feel we were an annoyance. We paid a lot and got not a lot! We won’t be visiting again!

Disappointing all round, stayed a year ago and the room was a lot better!

Property was in a good location as well the staff were friendly.

The air conditioner unit in the bedroom is clearly broken as the noise measured 89 decibels. As well as that the controller for it on the wall was broken so you could not turn it off. Simply unacceptable!

The rooms were spacious and modern

The rooms smelt extremely bad and they were absolutely freezing! We phoned to reception twice to inform them and nothing was done. We had to sleep in Jumpers all night. The restaurant on site tasted like microwave meals and for the quality were extremely expensive!!

Unexpected stay. Lovely hotel

Spur of the moment decision. Stopped in many hotels in Manchester, this was by far the best. Never slept so well, my wife is now trying to find the same mattress

The lift was out of order. And we was sloshed, so getting upstairs was fun!

Overall was a lovely hotel! Prime location for the markets, shops and restaurants yet still away from the crowds

The location was spot on for everything we needed and the hotel was beautifully presented

We was informed about the lift not working but got no help carrying up our cases and we was up 3 flights of stairs. The room was a little snug for 4 people and the rooms were slightly dark with no additional lighting near the dressing table in one room. We also found blu tac over the walls and popped balloons in the wardrobes (that we didn’t bring)

Disappointing as expected more for the price.

Bed was very comfortable and the room was nice though a bit small. No table or chair, just a bed and wardrobe. Bathroom was nice.

Very basic room, tv couldn’t connect to any streaming platform. Breakfast was okay but they gave it to me in a closed lid hamper and didn’t tell me there was open containers inside and milk spilled all over me and my jumper. The staff weren’t very helpful and didn’t do a very good job of cleaning the floor.

They don’t make you aware that you have to pay £100 for each room on top of the cost of the hotel. Incase you use the mini bar etc. which is not stated when you book.

Nice enough.

Very convenient for the conference centre. Boutique feel with stylish decor. The cosy room was, as expected, very small. Fine for one but would have felt cramped for two.

People in the building opposite could see right in if the curtains were open. Charged for a bottle of water.

The restaurant was closed, the taps in the bathroom in the bar didn't work, the lift was out of order, the room smelt damp, when we arrived at the room it was ice cold and during the night it over heated and the coffee machine didn't work.

Great location, lovely looking property, duplex suite was really nice and spacious.

Paid extra for chocolate strawberries unfortunately they were obviously frozen by the time we checked in they were mush on a plate. Wanted a hot bubble bath but the water was barely warm. The room was really dusty and when in the shower the bathroom flooded. After check out got a charge of £1.20 to my card no idea what it was for as we hadn’t had anything from the mini bar except 4 sachets of milk for our morning coffee at nearly £250 for the room I wouldn’t expect to be paying for the milk sachets. Also got a very dodgy WhatsApp from the business before we arrived asking me to click a link as my payment had failed it had my check in and out dates and my booking ref BUT wasn’t from the hotel so how had anyone got that information I don’t know. Lift was broken for the time we were there so had no choice but to walk up and down from the third floor.

It was exceptional

I went on a weekend trip and had a great time in Forty seven, at check in we were offered a complimentary upgrade to the apartment suite and the facilities were exceptional. Breakfast was brought to us the next morning bang on time 10:30am and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely. The security of the hotel is great and the location is in the centre of Manchester.

Comfortable and friendly

The location was perfect - we were off to dinner and then the theatre. The bedroom was small but very comfortable. It felt like a boutique hotel. The staff were really friendly.

The bar was poorly stocked, and closed earlier than planned. There was an emergency light test occurring as we were checking in, which meant the corridors on the way to the bedrooms were pitch black. The hotel felt a bit forgotten..

Nice hotel but some issues

The bathroom smelled quite drainy on arrival then the shower flooded on use. Staff brought towels and we kept it out of the bedroom so it wasn't a problem. We were moved the next day. We were told that it was my fault as two showers were on the low and the high. I didn't put them on. But they had removed a blockage??

I was very pleased with the option to upgrade to the signature suite. The extra room was nice and I enjoyed the separate bedroom from the lounge area and bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and the room amenities were nice as well. I was happy to have access to an espresso in the morning.

I was excited to use the bathtub, however, I realized that it would have taken an hour to fill it completely. Perhaps I was doing something wrong, but I wasn't seeing a way to quickly fill the tub. I would have enjoyed a nice bath.

Location, spotless, polite staff, what more do you need?

It was tastefully decorated, clean and the staff extremely friendly. It was located in a busy part of the city but the noise did not disturb you. Slept very well in the comfortable bed. The room was a bit on the small side but you had all the facilities you needed. It actually had a mini bar!

Nothing to dislike. Only thing I would say there was nothing to put your case on but found this is common in most hotels.

Over priced and not value for money.

Rooms were clean and well presented. Staff were helpful, it was well located for our trip.

We paid for the room upgrade to a larger 2 bedroom suite. The rooms were incredibly dark & needed more lights especially over mirrors. The showers in both bathrooms were not functioning properly (rainfall shower had less than half of the jets/holes working). Too much focus on technology and there was a lack of basic amenities.
