The super king sized bed was very comfortable. Everywhere was immaculate and beautifully warm. Towels were provided and a small welcome basket. Car parking was very secure.
There were no drawers or wardrobe to put clothes and only one armchair so one of us had to sit on the bed or on a hard table chair.

It was our second stay in the Old Plough. We had a lovely stay, the owners are very considered. The location is great and everything was very clean and tidy.

Room was great...perfect size for a weekend stay and felt lovely.
The kitchenette area was perfect for my needs and lovely touch with the little basket of jams, biscuits etc.
Great to have parking and knowing the car is secure behind electric gates.
As a solo female traveller, that made me feel more at ease.
For some reason I couldn't connect to the WiFi and my phone signal wasn't strong enough to pick up 4g in the room.
I'm sure it is a temporary glitch and when I messaged to report it, I did get a message back promptly trying to help although it didn't resolve the issue for my stay.

Very well planned and designed exceptionally cosy for families. We loved the fairy lights placed on the outdoor stairs (access to the property)
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property, everything that we required, fluffy towels, great TV set up, liked the notes on the walls (kitchen) about how everything worked .
Particularly liked the directions and discreet messages reminding us of the codes to access the property before we arrived ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Lovely one bedroom. Perfect for a few days away with everything we needed. Spacious bedroom, well organised bathroom, living room with table and chairs, sofa, excellent WiFi. Kitchen area included microwave, two-burner cooktop, and air fryer. Laundry facilities, secure parking. Independent country pub with lovely garden seating area across the street and an Italian restaurant three mins away. Close to Rockingham Castle, Corby, 5 minutes to Uppingham and 15 minutes to Rutland Water.
Everything was great.

Beautiful, old property with lots of character. Love the gated parking and some of the furniture.
It was very hot, we asked if we could have a fan by text message and isn’t get a response, then asked by phone and chap said he’d see what he could do but a fan never turned up and we didn’t get a call back. We ended up having to leave the door open during the day when we were in the room, not ideal when we’re two women. During the night it was stifling and we couldn’t open and close the window easily because it was hard to reach and keeping the window open was frustrating because the road noise kept us awake.
The bathroom had mould in the grout and the bathroom floor needs a scrub.
The fitted sheet had some sort of glue or something stuck to it.
The bed’s headboard was really dusty.
We’re coming back in a couple of weeks and staying in the apartment so we’re looking forward to seeing what that’s like!

We stayed in the Snug for a few nights in May. It exceeded our expectations from the description and we enjoyed our stay. The living room is very good, the kitchen small but good (and we were pleasant surprised by the air fryer), the bedroom very comfortable and the shower was superb. We look forward to returning.
It's a tiny detail, but we had asked for twin beds. As it happens, the very comfortable king bed was big enough so it wasn't a problem. We could have mentioned it when they contacted us the next day to ask if everything was ok but we didn't feel the need. Everything else was perfect.

lovely location in a pretty village with private parking. plenty of kitchen facilities. wifi worked. Note it is on a main road, which is quite at night, busy through the day.
room was very cold upon arrival, and there was no instruction re how to turn the central heating on. I tried the control panel but couldn't work it. small electric heater was then used but it just took the chill off. also no hairdryer. left a message with host company re both issues that night, no reply. cold night spent under 2 duvets. bed is very soft, not a great mattress. The next day, I left a phone message in the morning, no reply, text again, then my second phone call answered early afternoon. Someone came round later when i returned back to the house, with a hairdryer and they managed to turn the central heating on. Communications were frustrating, as I kept getting 'contact us if any problems' messages, but it took several texts and calls before things were sorted.

Comfortable & clean
It was freezing when we arrived & no instruction on how to use the thermostat to control the heating. Contacted staff but was told to refer to the info book which …. Wasn’t there .

Closeness to the local pub - which was welcoming, warm and had great food!
I was asked if I wanted the beds as a king or twin. I stated king ... so I got twin singles!! Not a great start! The radiators did not work and the online handbook stated that they should not be used! So, the place was very, very cold - even though the outside temperature was 6 degrees and not yet part of a very cold winter. There was an electric oil filled radiator that was provided but the electric lead hardly reached the plug socket (that was high up on the wall) - and this heater was not man enough at al to heat the place and could not be timed to come on to warm the place for when I got back at the end of the working day. One single bed had an extremely thin quilt that was absolutely not man enough to keep a mouse warm!!! ... and the other had a double or king size quilt folded over. Whoever prepared this room just hasn't ever bothered to sleep there and live with what is provided. To add insult to a very cold stay, I tried five times to contact someone on the various numbers provided (and one text) - no-one every picked up or responded too the text. very poor customer service and poor overall. Come on folks, get it sorted - none of this is complicated - you just have to think it through carefully.

There was no breakfast didn’t expect any. Location was ok didn’t like being so close to the busy road. Liked the large seating and dining room. Kitchen was well supplied both for cooking and eating. Bathroom clean shower great nice and hot. Thankyou.
Bedrooms were not as advertised. Expected one doublebed room second three single bedroom. There were only beds for 4 people on arrival. We were 5. Very very disappointed by the overpowering scent of air fresheners and heated oil scents. It took more then 3 days to remove the obnoxious smells.

As we were getting the keys the owner was close by and came to check everything was ok. The area is lovely and the accommodation suited our needs.
The top double bedroom was very tiny but we were only there 2 nights and fortunately the person who had that room wasn’t too tall. The curtain as a divider wasn’t what we expected but it was ok. We would look to go back again, but maybe one or two of the other properties.

Lovely village location with a couple of country pubs, one literally across the road. The check in was smooth and the accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed.

Hele fijne knusse appartementen. Alles was schoon en genoeg faciliteiten. Wij hebben een heerlijke week gehad en zouden dit zeker aanraden bij familie en vrienden. Goed uitgangspunt om de omgeving te ontdekken .
Niets.
