A perfectly appointed cottage, you won’t be disappointed.

The property was very quiet and secluded, but only 5 minutes down the road was a supermarket to get supplies. A perfect place to be to cozy up out of the cold winter weather. Close to Rutland waters, so well placed for walks, bike rides and adventures with the kids.

Beautiful cottage in peaceful location

This cottage is an absolute gem of a place to stay. We had 3 nights over Xmas whilst visiting family close by. It’s in a very quiet location whilst being close to amenities. 20 min walk into Oakham town centre. It’s warm, welcoming and tastefully decorated. There’s a small kitchen but it has absolutely everything you need to cook a meal and plenty of comfy sofas to relax on. We had 3 lovely days there and will definitely book again when staying in the area

Great rural village location close to Rutland water and Oakham Cottage was clean and well equipped Owners were great with communication and responsive to any questions

A lovely relaxing short break.

It was in an excellent location ideally placed for exploring the area. It was very well equipped and very comfortable with everything provided. Henry and Grania were very friendly and helpful.

Location was fine. Close to amenities and Oakham, attractions, etc. Comfortable and the layout of the cottage was ideal for us as my husband has mobility problems. 0p

Comfortable cottage in a lovely location.

Very peaceful location yet an easy walk into Oakham so no need to drive. Great for walks around Rutland water. We walked to the reservoir from the cottage. The cottage is on a nice quiet lane to walk the dog or go for a run.Very well equipped kitchen and very comfortable bedroom. We would like to return in the summer months to make use of the sunny garden by the side of the cottage! It’s such a relaxing place to stay.

Enjoyable break in a very cozy, comfy cottage

Great location, quiet, but central enough to access the town of Oakham and surrounding areas of Rutland and beyond. Beautiful cottage, comfortable, cozy and clean. Lovely welcoming hosts who have made the cottage feel more like a home. Definitely recommend staying here if anyone is thinking of visiting the area.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in a quiet, comfortable and pretty cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. It’s cosy, comfortable and quiet. The kitchen has lots of utensils, crockery etc and the owners were veryhappy to provide us with anything we needed like extra towels. Parking was undercover so the car stayed cool on hot days and we liked the little garden where we sat outside for breakfast.

Boltons cottage in Barleythorpe is in an ideal situation to visit Rutland water and the surrounding visitor locations. The cottage is set in peaceful grounds with everything you need for a restful, comfortable stay. Everything you need is provided. The owners are very welcoming. Lots of information about visitor attractions are provided. We will certainly recommend to friends and will be returning for a second visit.

location was good - quiet but easy to get to Oakham town. excellent lay out of interior.

second bedroom had no facility to hang clothes. Kitchen was very well equipped but meant no empty cupboard for food we had taken with us. Am sure there were surplus extremely large bowls that would never get used and could allow space for guests.
