Beautiful house with a great atmosphere created by our lovely host. The house was clean and there were so many thoughtful additions. Lovely breakfast.

Didn’t stay long enough!

This is genuinely exceptional. We were welcomed by our vivacious host who showed us in to a house full of attractive furnishings, from art prints to chairs and carpets. The decor shows great attention to detail with much to delight the eye, but not to the detriment of our comfort. The breakfast was truly excellent, with a choice of freshly cooked food, of restaurant standard and a variety of home-made conserves. The location is superb, within walking distance of the town centre without the hustle and bustle, and a view overlooking the Lakeland hills.

We anticipated an en- suite bathrom /shower, but the facility was shared.

Lovely room very comfy, great breakfast and lovely host. Fresh milk in a little fridge was a bonus!

We had a shared bathroom with one other room which I didn't realise when booking. Fortunately no -one else was staying so we had it to ourselves. Room was at the top of 2 flights of stairs - the second one being steep and curved. Our lovely host carried my bag or I would have struggled.

Homemade cereal were nice

Being at the very top floor with painted stairs which made it very precarious when walking up with your bags.
