Villa Camp Bay Views - Stunning!

The views, space and parking! The finer touches of chocies, bubbles and fresh fruit and flowers!

Power failure, one bath was not cleaned.

We were a group of 5 Adults and 2 toddlers who stayed for 7 nights. One of the ladies in the group is 6 months pregnant and 2 others are >63 yrs old. Michael is certainly one of the best hosts I have ever encountered. His communication is excellent, he reacts to any issues within a very short period of time and helps to resolve any issues immediately. The Villa has an absolutely amazing view with a awesome wrap around balcony from which to enjoy it. Overall the Villa was well equipped with just about everything you may need for a self catering holiday. The home is also very spacious and has large garden also for kids to be kept busy. There is a pool, but it was covered for the entirety of our stay - the ad indicated that the pool is heated, but this is not in fact the case - you cannot swim in the pool outside of the summer season. There is a smart TV in the main lounge which is easy to use and login to any streaming services. Showers have good pressure and the bathrooms and bedrooms were well equipped and comfortable. Only one bedroom had a working a/c which was helpful as the rooms can get extremely hot in the late afternoon due to direct sun. There is a gas barbeque should you wish to have a braai, however there is no place to have a woodfire traditional braai (we suspect also this may be due to high wind conditions in the Cape). The main lounge has a great fireplace and was stocked with wood for us to burn during the colder evenings - this was very welcome! The Villa has an alarm system which adds security. We did have a couple of challenges during the stay, but Michael helped us to resolve these with almost immediate assistance, even coming to the house at one point. It was clear that perhaps the unit is new to the short term rental market and a couple small items needed ironing out and I am certain Michael will get it done. The bottom line is that we would certainly stay here again and overall had a very pleasant experience. Thank you!

It needs to be noted that during our stay there was a large scale construction project ongoing next door. There was a constant jack-jammer, grinder, hammering going on with construction workers yelling at each other and causing noise from the early morning hours (even Sunday). Even after asking them for some consideration they just blatantly continued with zero respect for the neighbors. I estimate this project will still continue for about a month, maybe two after which the issue will no longer be a problem. By the time summer rocks up in Cape Town this should be done. Other small items that need to be considered (to help improve): 1. Aircons in the other bedrooms, it can get unbearable in the afternoon due to direct sun; 2. Washing line pegs are needed for people who plan to stay longer and do laundry (There is a dryer in the Villa); 3. A corkscrew bottle opener is needed for obvious reasons.. :); 4. If possible a braai where we can use wood and have a proper South African braai will be nice; 5. DStv subscription would be good for foreign visitors who also want to enjoy sport; 6. The garage is quite small and did not fit our Ford Ranger, may also have a problem with other larger vehicles, however there is a driveway in which you can park off street; 7. The couches in the ad and the couches in the Villa are not the same (update for accuracy); 8. Pool is not heated as per advert (update for accuracy); 9. Lots of stairs in the Villa - note for elderly and less mobile persons; 10. Fairly far from the grocery store - just note and plan accordingly.

They views are incredible!!! We loved it! Such a great base to visit Cape Town from. Michael and Josh were such great hosts and they daily maid service was appreciated. We'll be back!
