    Good clean basic set up. Need to ask if you want to shower outside the allotted times. But manager was very accommodating. Brilliant outdoor small onsen set up. Good breakfast included.

    We booked this last minute because it was affordable and available. It was a bit of a drive to get to, on the other side of the lake at the very end of the road. You will need a car, a taxi or bus and walk. There is easy free parking out front. Papa-San of the establishment was kind, attentive and genuine. The room was just what we needed, a comfortable place to get a good sleep before the early morning assent of Fuji-San.

    First of all, the host is super sweet and will help you with whatever you need. The private onsen is wonderful - it is separate times for men and women but the owner allowed me to go at a later time because we arrived late, which was very sweet. The rooms are simple, clean and it’s like you are in the man’s house. The location is peaceful however there’s only one restaurant in that area so if you don’t have a car it is a bit difficult. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant (random!) but it was pricier than we expected. Overall we loved our stay here!
