A quiet and very comfortable romantic cabin.

A lovely rural location. Very quiet at night. The Hideaway lives up to its name. The hosts have planned this small cabin really well. Overall it exceeded my expectations. The kitchen is really well equipped, the bed is comfortable and the hosts left fresh eggs, coffee tea and milk for us. There was a detailed folder of advise on places to go and local eating options. We loved it.

The bathroom is tiny but well set out The sink is so small it seems impossible not to splash water from it. However the shower is very good and very good quality towels are provided. There is limited storage space for bags etc.

Lovely cabin in a quiet area. Was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Was lovely having the chickens outside and their eggs were delicious. I'd definitely stay here again.

Forest retreat.

.Excellent location. Amazing walks from the front door in to the forest. Padock and small front garden excellent if you have a dog. Peaceful and private. Fresh eggs, bread and milk on arrival. Small and compact, but beautifully presented, brilliant for our short stay. Could not want for more. Definately come back again. Thank you Sam n James.

Great quiet location. Little extras supplied on arrival. Very dog friendly with enclosed garden. Very comfortable bed. Convenient for trips out with my dog. Close to some excellent pubs.

Lovely bolt hole so relaxing and cosy but had so much to offer in way of facilities

Facilities were excellent, use of a paddock to exercise the dog just next to the place. Location so quiet but loads of amenities and attractions so close by. bed was so comfy first time slept so well in long time.

Nothing didn’t like, just could do with a little bigger table for eating outside.

Overall it was fantastic, we loved the idea of the hideaway!

We went to a wedding at Naas Court Farm so this was a brilliant location for us. Taxis were a little tricky to source, but we did manage to sort one in the end. It was around 7 minutes to the venue which was great! The property itself is lovely in its own gated area. It felt very private and was super cosy!

It was fantastic and I have nothing bad to say. My only small bit of feedback would be that there was no long mirror in the hideaway. It would have been nice to have one as I was getting ready there for a wedding but understand this isn’t an essential! I managed without one.

Cottage

The extra touches for making a cuppa and a sandwich. Lovely little cottage well laid out, Also the freedom for our two little dogs to play in the field we also ( cleaned up after them ) will be staying again ☺️

Excellent

Location was brilliant, all that was provided, e.g. bedding, kitchen equipment, furniture, was absolutely fine. The small lawned area was a big plus, in shade in the afternoons, as was access to the woodland. Though we didn't use it, the bbq was a lovely touch. The hens were nice (interesting) neighbours! Off road car parking was appreciated. Help unloading and offer re loading after our stay was appreciated.

The only negative was the space inide the cabin. Really too little to move freely around the bed. The wardrobe was too small and the 'bathroom' was very tight on space. Don't see what could be done to improve this, except enlarging the cabin, which we realise is not feasible. The problem was that both of us are over 70, younger renters may not find these things so much of a problem.

Woodland Cabin stay

Great compact, open plan studio cabin with a good en suite, decorated appropriately in a ‘countryside’ style. Proper fridge with freezer box, full size oven, microwave and 2 ring burner (which we found easy to use!). Nice to have a little garden area and access to the paddock, which our dog adored. The noise from the chickens didn’t disturb us at all and they were fun to watch. Like many in recent years we have moved up from a double bed and were concerned about 8 nights in one but it’s so comfortable we loved it! Lovely forest walks on your doorstep and great access to the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley areas. The hosts were attentive and helpful without being intrusive.

Very little clothes storage for longer stays, but to be honest I don’t know how you would accommodate that. We loved it really!

Cute little cabin, comfortable and well equipped

Cute little cabin with chickens for neighbours :) Clean, comfortable and although small well equipped with everything you could need. Lovely peaceful location with walks from the door step but also handy for lots of the places we wanted to visit further afield. Small but secure garden which was ideal for the dogs and for us to sit out. Would definitely recommend

Lots of space, brilliant location especially for dogs

Loved the space available, excellent facilities and nice touch with the bread, milk, eggs and butter they were lovely. I booked this as I was judging and attending a dog show nearby, so having the paddock available for the dogs to safely run was the main feature I was looking for. Facilities were clean and comfortable, fully stocked kitchen with all the utensils you would need also. Shower was nice and warm, bed comfortable and wifi available too. Just a note where you park, it is a little walk up to the cottage into your own garden so would need to put your dogs on a lead if they might wander off between the car, paddock and cottage garden.

I wish I brought earplugs as the nearby rooster wakes up very early.

Loved our stay here. Cosy and comfortable. Beautiful location . Dog friendly garden . Could do with a poo bin somewhere maybe a washing machine and drying rack . Good value for money . Would return here

Absolutely stunning

It was absolutely magnificent. The cabin is extremely well equipped. The host really has a great attention to detail. It’s so comfortable, clean and such a beautiful place. The location is perfect if you’re looking to have a relaxing break. There’s some wonderful pubs within walking distance and if you like walking you certainly won’t be disappointed as there’s so many stunning places to visit locally to the retreat. This really is one of the best places I’ve booked through this site.

Fantastic

Great location if you want peace and quiet, out of the way and rural. Everything in the lodge is clean and modern. Was even left biscuits, loaf of bread, butter, eggs (layed outside) and milk. Can’t rate this place highly enough, strong possibility were be back as house hunting in the area.

This is a lovely cabin with modern facilities. It was very clean and tidy. The hosts provided clear communications from the start. It's also in a nice quiet rural setting. It really did exceed my expectations. The hosts have created a little gem of a retreat to stay at.

Perfect stay for me and my dog

Rose Hideaway was the perfect location to spend a short break with my dog. The accommodation was extremely comfortable with everything needed for our stay. The location was ideal with two pubs within easy walking distance and many options for long dog walks within a short drive.

perfect place

I absolutely loved the place. Everything was just perfect for me and my dog. Peaceful, tranquil, super clean and tidy. Welcoming pack was a very pleasant addition, especially eggs from the chickens we could see mulching in their space next to our cabin. Location is great, easy to get into the woods, maps and descriptions were kindly provided too. We will defiantly be coming again.
