Lovely cottage with everything we needed for a short break and within close reach of lots of lovely places to explore.
I recommend slippers for colder months as the stone floor is chilly, but asides that the cottage is lovely.

I loved the cottage, was so cute and cosy!! Had all the items needed for cooking ect, no scissors though which would have been helpful. The bed was very comfortable and we loved how quiet it was at night.
The shower was extremely hot and couldn’t adjust the temperature, but otherwise no complaints at all.

Not being able to control the heating sufficiently. We got very hot!

Very clean well maintained, cosy, peaceful.
The name of the cottage is easy to see in the dark and I don't think we were told the house number which is useful to know as you can see that 🙂

The cottage is very quaint and exactly what we wanted as two friends on a little weekend break. It’s cosy and warm with all that you need - including a washing machine and tumble dryer. The cottage has two parking spaces and the garden is a great size. The beds were comfortable and the shower hot and with a good flow. Please note, the bathroom is downstairs - not an issue for us but worth noting it. The kitchen is quite small but totally expected as the whole cottage is bijou!
It’s a lovely area and only about an 8 minute drive from Beechenhurst which is a beautiful part of the forest to walk in plus a great cafe!
Peacock lane is very tight in two areas between walls and buildings. My friend has a VW Golf and had about 3 inches each side so it’s close. I would assume that a Range Rover would not fit (for example). This is clearly not related to the cottage but just something to call out if you are driving a larger vehicle. There is parking on Edmunds Way so shouldn’t be an issue and clearly nothing the property can do anything about.

This would be about my 6th visit to this cottage. Feel so at home it’s lovely and cosy. Love looking at the woods in the front and taking walks below by the stream.

Lovely spot with forest views
The lane to get to the property is very narrow if you have a large vehicle it is very tight

Good location, comfortable, basics were all good
Not enough cutlery or crockery, so frequent washing up. Toilet downstairs, but house creaks, so woken by elderly family in the night. No extractor fans.

The cottage is in a great location close to wonderful walks we really enjoyed our stay and we hope to be back.
Nice garden just needed some soft cushions for the seating but we sat outside most days so it didn't stop us.
Cottage was really clean and had everything we needed.
Nothing.

Incredible location - only 5 minutes from lidl or tesco and lots of places to visit. Only 1 hour from the Cotswolds and other parts of Wales. Close by to the Forest of Dean.
Double bed was extremely comfortable
Lovely enclosed garden at front and back
Lots of DVDs available to keep yourself entertained
Plenty of toilet roll provided (super useful for a household of IBS and IBD sufferers)
Stair gate was present which made it easier stopping the dogs from going upstairs (sign in property states they cannot go upstairs although not noted in description when booking)
On request we were offered an extra hour for checkout which put me at ease if I was struggling with my health.
Shower had good power in it and was a nice temperature.
Although DVDS were available we couldn't sign into any streaming services like Netflix as it wasn't a smart TV at the property.
The house was extremely cold inside which made our stay uncomfortable. The info book stated extra wood would be available outside but there wasn't any. When we contacted them we were told we had to buy our own wood and to change radiators settings although the property was still cold doing this. We visited the local shops but they had no wood in stock so we had to travel a bit to find some. - Bring Blankets and socks - It's stone flooring downstairs so even colder
Although our car fit down the lane, bigger cars or vans would struggle as we had to be careful not to scrape our side mirrors.
The kitchen tap would continuously leak and it wouldn't get to a hot enough temperature to wash the dishes without also using the kettle water. Although there was a dishwasher we didn't have much to wash every night so it was easier doing it in the sink. Very stingy on the washing up liquid provided too. Although useful this was given to us.

Loved the location, right next to the forest. Comfortable and clean. Lovely big and secure garden.
Few more oven proof dishes would be great. Took a while for the cottage to warm up from our arrival.

It was my partners 50th, it would of been nice to have had a bbq as the weather was beautiful & we didn’t want to leave our dogs to go out for a meal

Very close to the a Forest of Dean. Wide range of equipment in kitchen. Washer, drier, dishwasher. Parking space. Quiet area. Wildlife....! The wild boar visited on three nights outside the garden, but scary but lovely to see them
V narrow access to parking, even in a small car. Cinderford centre holds no appeal and needs regeneration
