Frederic gave us a warm welcome and has lots of local knowledge regarding the best restaurants and which chateaux to visit. Chateau Chaumont was our favourite. The photos do not do the gite justice. It is clean, modern and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. It is in a quiet, pleasant neighbourhood with lots to do and see in the surrounding area. Highly recommended.

The apartment sits at the back of the property away from the road . It is quiet and private . Lots of natural light and a short walk down a small hill to the town center .Black out blinds make for a good sleep The owner assisted in arranging transportation to the train station on a holiday which was very helpful .Would stay here again when in Amboise .

Very straight forward rental process. Gite walking distance to pretty town. Very quiet location. Many restaurants to choose from. Good local outside heated public pool. Local canoe club for trip on the Loire. Well organised.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here in June. The unit is very private and spacious. Comfortable bed, big bathroom. As mentioned in a previous review, the internet is spotty but with patience we were able to gain access when we needed to use it. Walking to town is downhill but a bit of a climb when returning home. This did not bother us, but it is something others might appreciate knowing. As a location when touring the Loire, Amboise is a great place to stay especially since there are three great chateaux in town.

Spent 5 days exploring the Loire Valley with Amboise serving as base camp. The flat was very clean and modern. Short walk into town made location outstanding. Never found the dryer in the unit but managed to dry clothes after using the washer by hanging outside and inside. Overall an excellent rental home for 2 or 4 persons.

This gite was perfect for us in size, location, and comfort. It was very clean, modern and only five minutes from town. The best part was the wonderful patio with the garden out back. We used it morning and evening. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking and had a microwave. We prepared several meals there even though The Patio Restaurant in town was excellent. The hostess was helpful in suggesting places to see and bringing whatever we needed. She always had a smile on her face. We saw Chenonceau Chateau which was the best one and only 15 minutes away. We also saw Chateau d’Amboise and Leonardo da Vinci’s home and garden. Stay here and know you will enjoy your stay.

We were only a couple staying in a property which could fit up to a family of four. The décor was modern, tasteful and clean and the size of the rooms was good, especially the living room, dining / kitchen area which is open plan. The site itself sits off a side road in the centre of Amboise which was perfect for strolling into the stunning little town, which would usually take 5 mins at most. The property itself is very quiet, especially in the evening / night time which is perfect for a relaxing or depending upon the weather outside on the small but comfortable south facing patio. On site there was adequate car parking for multiple vehicles which was of benefit. We highly recommend this property, the local area and the courtesy and help provided by the owners was excellent, especially the recommendation of the small but excellent Chateau de Valmer gardens and vineyard.

The perfect place to stay in Amboise! The gites was spacious and spotless .Our hostess was helpful and gracious as she also spoke great English. The location was convenient, private and quiet. Highly recommended!
