Jan, the host, met us near the house and showed us how to get to the car park, as we were travelling by car, and then accompanied us to the apartment. He kindly helped us with our luggage and told us about nearby shops and restaurants, which was very helpful. The apartment is in a great location and is well equipped with everything you need and more. It is a real hidden gem in the city centre, with a barbecue on the terrace and a small gym, which was super convenient.

Everything was perfect.

Great appartment with a fully equipped kitchen, TV room and ready for a relaxed vacation. The quartier has a necessities such as supermarket, restaurant and cafees - with 5 min to the central station

The Wi-Fi connection upstairs keep dropping off.

The penthouse is well equipped and does provide most of the items that are shown in the booking sheet. Unfortunately, our experience was frustrating and an overall negative experience. We are 3 retired couples touring together and thought the penthouse would give us a good base to explore Luxembourg City from and the location is fairly convenient if you enjoy walking. Lots of outdoor space on the balconies to sit and socialize. There are several good restaurants providing a variety of ethnic food within a few blocks and we enjoyed them. The drug dealers standing on the corner outside the building don’t appear to bother the tourists, however they do yell loudly back and forth to each other throughout the night, so you will want to have good earplugs if you need to have the windows open to cool the apartment. The neighbourhood is sketchy and our group was not comfortable about being out late at night. It can be entertaining watching the dealers and prostitutes from the balcony.

Communication issues. After booking, you can view videos that explain several features. 1 video says that you will get your code for the key lock box but doesn’t say when. I sent emails to the management company a day before our arrival asking about the timing but did not receive a reply to the 5 emails I sent. A generic email 2 hours before my check in time said I would receive the code a minimum of 3 hours before check in time, so I phoned the contact number. The person said they couldn’t release the code until the actual check in time due to security reasons. I asked why the notification they sent stated a minimum of 3 hours prior to check in. She said that must be an error and they might fix it. 5 minutes after my check in time, I received the key box code and was able to enter the apartment. I got the parking key FOB and moved my car into the basement parking lot that smelled like a urinal. I contacted the management company to request an extra set of building / apartment keys since we were 3 couples and didn’t want to do all the same things and was told only one set was available – “for security reasons". That evening, I noticed a keyless entry buzzer at the main entrance and sent another note asking about it. They asked me to send pictures, which I did, and they said they had passed the request on to the owner. I never heard anything more, so for the 3 days of our visit, someone had to go downstairs to let the others into the building whenever they returned. There is a video on the site explaining how to get ice and water from the refrigerator, but they can’t tell you how to buzz someone into the apartment. Other issues: No hand towel or hook in the main floor bathroom Electric shutters don't work, so the dining room and upstairs were dark with no view. 1 garbage bag and no blue recycling bags to take out waste as instructions require.
