Hamilius Apartments City Center Luxembourg by Rentaroo

Fabulous apartment. Literally steps from the tram which made getting around very easy. Only about a minute walk to a grocery store and another minute to the center of town with tons of restaurants and shops and lots of activity. We could easily walk to places like dinner, or casemates and more. The apartment was spacious and amazing to have 3 bathrooms! The balcony was nice. With no AC, it was nice to be able to open the windows and turn on fans also. This is a perfect location for anyone visiting Luxembourg.

The location was excellent, right next to a central transit stop. The place was very clean and exactly as pictured. We had plenty of space to spread out and we liked that the windows effectively blocked street noise. The beds had memory foam mattresses, which some people in my party really liked.

We booked through booking.com but the real information was buried deep within Rentaroo's website (I guess the property manager?) It always took several attempts to locate info about things like the door codes, trash, etc. Management was very responsive, but in the moment it was a bit stressful. Anyway, the stay was very nice.

Breakfast not available. Options around the apartment, very well located, like Supermarket, bakery or breakfast places in proximity. Despite the location, very central, the bedrooms were facing the inner court, very quite.

The TV with free local stations not available or we were not able to find the way to display them while playing with the TV. No soap in the bathrooms at the entrance.

The apartment was spacious, bright, very well located, and close to the city centre. It did not have much charm, but it was equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. Prefect for a short or long stay (even with a small family).

The check-in process was far too complicated and fully digital, with no human contact at all. It involved a mix of a website (referred to as an “application”) WhatsApp communication where nobody replied except for an automated message giving opening hours, and Booking.com messages, where someone did reply but the process was very impractical. I found myself stuck outside the building with three other guests, while nobody answered the emergency phone number. We eventually managed to get in, but we felt completely abandoned. (when they say you can enter at 3 pm, it means that everything unlocks itself automatically at 3 pm...). The apartment was also very noisy, and my nights were badly disturbed. The double glazing was ineffective. From 5:00 a.m. onwards, my first-floor apartment facing the street became extremely noisy, mainly because of buses and trams. Finally, the apartment itself was very clean, and I have no criticism on that point. However, when I opened the kitchen window, I found dozens of cigarette butts thrown onto the window ledge. It was disgusting.
