The exclusiveness of the location. The chef. Food was incredible. The many different scotch’s at the bar and the crew. Overall had an incredible stay. Would stay here again.
Internet connection wasn’t working in units, but other than that. No complaints.

The staff were exceptional, went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.
Cabins were cosy and warm for our winter stay, very comfortable bed.
Restaurant and menu was lovely, the included breakfast has a great menu to select from (instead of a buffet style).
Great little bar with a good selection of cocktails and whiskies.
We needed to ask for the room to be cleaned a couple of times.

This property was an absolutely stunning place to stay! It is incredibly beautiful. The huts are cute, cozy and warm. The views are stunning. The restaurant does delicious food. The bar has some incredible whiskey’s and other drinks. And the staff are all so friendly and helpful, they were genuinely kind and caring. Everything was perfect for our stay.
Nothing, everything was perfect!

The location is amazing -- quiet, dark, cozy. You feel like you are removed from the whole world, but you still have the amenities of a really nice hotel. The cabins were the perfect size. The beds were super cozy. The food at the restaurant was amazing -- especially the dessert. The breakfast offered a lot of variety, including fresh fruits. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There is a cold plunge pool and sauna that I didn't use, but I did check it out and they were very nice and very clean. Highly recommend staying here.

Was a decent breakfast, came near the end so the little tray of pastries/granola had been sitting for most of the morning. There was a hair in the eggs florentine but we ate around it, should have said but no real issues
The cabins were great and cosy, the weather didn’t help the walk up and down to them. No ones fault but they didn’t really make sense in that weather, might be an option for room service when the weather is as bad (this might already be an option)

Loved the property’s vibe - and the sauna and rooms
Needed the fires on wasn’t some warm and cosy - bearing in mind the weather isn’t great it needed some ambience and more welcoming upon entry - the bar could be way more atmospheric, sadly the property don’t offer room service they should have buggies bringing drinks or food to the room as some of the huts are way too far to walk on an evening to collect drinks.

Food in Restaurant was nice
Unpleasant, unfriendly and unprofessional staff — you don’t feel welcomed as a guest, it’s like you’re bothering them just by being there. No porter after 8:00 PM to carry our heavy luggage to the cabin, so we had to drag it ourselves in the rain. The sauna was cold, and the second one was turned off. The cabin was very small with little space. Plus, there was a huge spider and cobwebs in the room. And the view was weak, really nothing special. It’s NOT WORTH the huge amount of money at all!!

Love the journey to the hotel

Lovely space
Excellent staff
There are no real facilities
The “spa” is a joke. It’s a cabin with luke warm air at best and the pool is unclean around it

Room was very clean and well maintained. I really liked the concept of the hotel - where every guest are assigned their own “hides”. It felt like “glamping” and had beautiful views.
Unsuitable for non-hikers or the elderly (mobility issues), as you would have to walk up to your respective rooms (5-10 minutes depending where your room is located). There is a buggy service but it ends at 10pm, and you would have to walk up in relative darkness. In addition, the lower tiered rooms do not have full facilities (no refrigerator, heating rail in toilet), and no space for toiletries. For the price point, there is a huge lack of facilities compared to full serviced hotels.

Stunning views, gorgeous good and great staff
The sauna wasn’t working

Excellent: The location, the staff, and the lobby, bar and restaurant were incredible. One day during our stay, the bar and restaurant were closed due to some technical issue, but other than that, those facilities were great. During that day, the hotel let our group eat takeaway in the lobby.
Good: The room. It was a beautiful, cozy space, but we could not figure out how to heat the room beyond the bathroom floor heater/towel rack. We ended up just leaving the bathroom door open to heat the rest of the room, but it worked really well and kept us toasty.
Everything was superb! There were no complaints.

The restaurant was excellent, seemingly one of the most upscale hotel restaurants in the entire city. The staff at reception were incredibly helpful and friendly, anticipating anything you might want. The service of driving your luggage around the "hotel" in a little golf cart was a nice bonus.
The hotel cost more than twice as much as ones with similarly sized rooms. The rooms are both small and have weirdly conflicting decor between the room and bathroom. The beds can fit two adults but are disappointingly small as well. The minibar was pathetic, containing only water.

The location and the views were awesome
Very pricey for what you got, spa wasn’t working and plunge pool was full of algae, restaurant was closed for half of our stay, and because of the amount of people staying it couldn’t cope with the volume so had to drive to eat.
When we arrived our room still had dirty robes from previous guests, the bin was broken and the toilet seat didn’t fit the toilet.
When you pay that sort of premium for a room you expect a little better.

Location is nice and the overall concept as well. Unfortunately, concept and reality differ.
Can not recommend this place. We were told that on our second night, the restaurant would be closed due to maintenance and that breakfast the morning after would be simple. We were also promised a refund, which we never received, which says a lot. Also, the sauna didn‘t work, which, in combination with the closed restaurant, rendered the hub of the resort somewhat redundant (which is why you would book this pricey place to begin with). Eventually we paid a ton of money for what felt like a massively overpriced, average camping pod accommodation. Restaurant was opened on our first night. Staff was friendly but slightly overwhelmed.
5.0 / 10.0
The accommodation pods were great - they are small which was expected but quite comfortable and cosy. The hotel is unique, in that you are quite secluded from town and other guests and in the midst of nature, but still within close proximity to Portree town and easy to drive to other day trip locations. The breakfast was a saving grace (see below)
Unfortunately, there was an undisclosed closure of the restaurant on both nights we were booked (Friday and Saturday night). Because of this. The bar was also closed on the Friday night which was disappointing at the end of a long day. The sauna, which was part of the reason we booked, was out of order. These both limited the facilities and our overall experience greatly. Also, note that it can be quite the hike to your cabin - which can be difficult if you have limited mobility.

It’s a special unique hotel, with each room in its own pod. Great restaurant for dinner.
The hotel is probably badly managed, many things were broken or missing. The sauna was broken all 4 days, the restaurant was closed for dinner most of days.

Beautiful pod, so comfortable and reception staff v helpful and welcoming.
The attitude of the restaurant manager on the first evening spoilt our arrival.
Sauna should be preheated when booked as it took 30 mins of the hour to get anywhere near warm.

Friendly staff, great breakfast and quirky rooms.
Can be a long walk up the hall to rooms.

Breakfast and staff serving breakfast was very good and pleasant especially Mina who was very helpful.
It is not a senior friendly hotel. Walk upto the pods is very painful and hard for seniors. We were told buggy will be available only for baggage and not on demand. Though when asked we were given the buggy that was meant for the luggage.

Great location, very cute design, great staff
A bit of steep price that I’m not sure is warranted
Being on cabin #3 which is one of the farthest ones it is quite a hike to be doing regularly honestly. Wasn’t even asked if I had any physical issues with it before assigning that cabin.

Quiet cabins, beautiful view if the weather permits. Floorheating and airco was nice. Breakfast was also very good, friendly staff
Bit too expensive for the services provided, some things were a little worn out (toilet kept running, outside chairs and lights had seen better days)
9.0 / 10.0
Pods were excellent, very comfortable. The sauna and plunge pool were brilliant! Perfect for us as we are cold water dippers.
Restaurant was lovely, breakfast was particularly good. The hotel
Also left a small gift for me in the pod as the stay was for my 50th birthday - was a very thoughtful touch and much appreciated.
The only negative was that your vehicle is parked a walk away from the pods. Although they provide a golf buggy service to transport your luggage on arrival it’s not ideal.

Beautiful property in a great location as a home base for excursions on the Isle of Skye. Couldn’t ask for better accommodations.

The staff was super friendly, welcoming and accommodating. We left feeling like they were our friends. The location was awesome, looking down on the Portree bay, but still feeling somewhat secluded. The restaurant food was so, so good, both breakfast and dinner. The room was awesome and had a lot of character. We also enjoyed the sauna / cold plunge pool.
Nothing comes to mind

Really unique and comfortable little cabins. The view is breathtaking. Staff is super friendly and really helpful. Food was especially good, breakfast is freshly cooked and included
The cabins are a bit small, barely room for luggage

The hotel is super stylish in a good way and at the same time casual. The pods on the hillside are novel and very fun. The natural setting is beautiful.
Aspects of the physical plant were defective. Toilet seat unsteady ( not fun!) and bedside lamps fell apart.

We enjoyed the unique experience of the pods, with natural surroundings and overlooking the town and harbor. The breakfast was excellent, and also the dinner menu. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially Paul. He helped with a problem late in the evening, and was very pleasant about it. The head waiter in the dining room was also excellent.
We came by tour bus, and there was no convenient way to go into the town of Portree.

The rooms are nice.
The location is out of the town of Portree. The cabins are accessed by foot. They are quite away from the car park. Not good when you arrive in rain! Staff at breakfast, bar and restaurant are friendly and good. The check in staff and porters who deliver bags and pick up bags need to be a little more professional. They are casually dressed and smoke in the entry to hotel. Not really the welcoming to a a pretty expensive hotel.
5.0 / 10.0
Very poor arrangements for the price they charge.
Staff says things like: they are busy at the time when you ask for something.
You have to climb quite a distance to get to your room.
Untrained staff.
Food menu very limited

Everything was great

Our pod and its comfort was exceptional. Enjoyed its coziness, the amenities, the heated bathroom floor and the comfy bed.
Our only comment is that the hotel was VERY short of staff. Breakfast took longer than expected since there was only one server. Check-in gal was very quick to check us in with little details. (we weren't even sure which was our pod since the signs outside were incorrect_). The staff will did interact with were very nice.

Breakfast fine
No cleaning of rooms
No new towels
We were told by cart person that we could not ride in carts. Said hotel policy but many others did so

The entire staff from Reception to breakfast & dinner restaurant and has been very welcoming, very nice and friendly. The breakfast is really great and tasty and you have a big choice of freshly cooked meals ! Dinner food was great too.
> Zara at the wonderfully designed and equipped bar has been very kind, she did a fantastic job in recommending great single malt whiskies and sharing her whisky knowledge.
Overall a good stay with minus points for the cabins and therefore for the price. This is just too expensive for what you get for the accommodation - Bar, Restaurant aside, both are great.
For the accommodation just be aware it’s “glamping”, means the cabins are really very small. There is not much space to even arrange your luggage, it’s a small double bed, there is basically no space to dry towels. The bathroom is very small too. It’s very lovely designed though and it gets you a nespresso style coffee machine, which is nice. Also, the cabins are wide spread over the area and you have a beautiful look from the hill to Portree bay. But if it rains you walk a while in the rain to get to the main building. Note also that we stayed 4 nights and there was no room cleaning. Close to the main building you find two saunas, we did not tested out though. The surroundings look a bit “unfinished” and some things are already broken, so some care is needed.

Nice view from the lodges and peaceful lodges.
Sit down served breakfast is a nice idea but the service was slow with one waitress for everybody on a busy bank holiday weekend. Room wasn’t made up between nights, rubbish left outside our lodge from previous customers before we arrived and not cleared up promptly when raised.
3.0 / 10.0
Some of the staff were really lovely and working very hard. The cabin was very clean and we had enough room for two people.
Not sure why this is listed as a 4 star hotel - it’s a mediocre glamping set-up for a ridiculous amount of money.
- We ate at the restaurant the first night, took an hour 20 for our main to arrive and it had no flavour, my dish came in two parts that came separately and no one came to take a second drinks order - the kitchen was understaffed (we heard the chef loudly complaining to the restaurant manager who did nothing to relay this information to the customers or do anything to make up for the wait)
- Breakfast is disgusting - the fruit smelled of fish, the pastries were half raw, the cooked portion took forever to come and didn’t come with toast as you’d expect. Ordered the porridge the second day and that has rock hard and tasteless. Sitting in the poorly designed restaurant when it was sunny was like sitting in a tropical greenhouse, everyone was sweating and had sunglasses on at 7.30am - and all the continental part of the breakfast is just sat in that sun.
- The path to the cabins is too steep and difficult to walk on - anyone with mobility issues shouldn’t stay here.
- The free wifi and the tv in the cabin didn’t work - staff suggested we walk down to the restaurant to download films on our devices and then walk back up - not exactly what you want to do after a full day out.
- The cabins look great and ours was clean but there’s nowhere to put damp towels or toiletries and there’s no mini fridge - the bottles of fresh milk they leave had curdled in the heat. The mattress is the cheapest ikea mattress that a student would buy. We were in the highlands for 2 weeks prior to Skye and stayed in a few cabins like this with more space, more facilities and better service for a quarter of the price.
