Lovely, modern hotel in a quiet neighbourhood

We only stayed 1 night due to rearranged travel out of Florence, but it was a lovely, modern hotel in a nice area. It was nice and quiet, with not a lot of noise, people or traffic, but still within walking distance of some very local restaurants and 10 to 15 minutes walk to the main train station and getting into the heart of historic Florence. We found it at late notice and the price was really good, especially for what you get. The staff were really friendly and helpful and had us checked in and out very quickly, and offered to highlight the different attractions in Florence.

The standard double room was lovely, but fairly small, but it met our needs. 1 or 2 nights would be fine, but I would have upgraded to a larger room if I was staying more than 2 days.

always on my list to stay when in Florence

I try to stay here after a few weeks traveling on each trip so I can often return every 5 days for another stay. It is close to the Arno river and the original location for the American consulate. (shall be asking mr rubio if he can reinstate this) Very clean, GREAT desk staff, quiet, 2 blocks from a good cafe for morning coffee and cake..........they serve meals but I didnt try this. Rooms have good desk space for anyone on a business trip or even mapping out the days route You can take the direct route to the train station in less than 15 minutes........There are also several bakeries nearby that offer coffee too, really good pizza in the afternoon and the funniest 'everything' store that is so packed with things you might need after the main stores close. warning, I could not get down the aisle with a back pack on! There is a supermarket in the area as well. The hotel is not in the center of the city but there are also no crowds blocking the streets............Often I walked across the near by bridge to the Santo Spirito market and enjoyed a cafe at a table in the square.......... You see the same people each morning..........my favorite was the older gentleman reading his paper while his caretaker brought the morning coffee to the table.................

not a complaint but info: 2 steps to the front door, you can ring to be let in or use your room card at night, another 2 steps into the lobby. tea and coffee set up in the room: if you like milk in your beverage, just pick some up from the market,,,,,,,,,,,,there is a refrigerator in the room

Great place that my daughter and I truly enjoyed staying at

Beautiful inside. Clean and new building is the feeling as soon as you walk in. Staff was very accommodating and pleasant. They supply the rooms with water both still and sparkling. Nespresso machine and tea pot. Mini frig as well.

The distance from the main hub of Florence was a 17-20 minute walk but totally a beautiful walk.

Great accommodation and good value.

Perfect rooms in this lovely B&B. Its just a five minute walk to the station or into the centre of Florence. No breakfast provided but plenty of cafes nearby. Clean, bright and spacious rooms with toiletries provided . There were also and tea and coffee making facilities in the room.

Very uncomfortable

They say they have air conditioning. And it is not true!!. They do have but it does not work properly. The front desk will tell you that they will call the technician but the true is they say that to everybody. I had the problem with my 1st room. The ac did not work properly. They change me to another room it had the same problem. A couple that stayed in another room also had the same problem. And during the checkout there were 2 couples also in the front desk asking for a solution because it was very warm. ( and i heard the front desk say to the couple, we will call the technician) If you open the windows the mosquitos will eat you. I had to buy a fan to at least had some rest but it was a bad experience. Just a very poor experience.

Thin walls, noise.

The walls are thin: you can hear neighbours through walls and doors banging plus your own toilet water runs so you can hear that when lying in bed… It is quite sterile hotel - clean and surpriseless.

Great finding in Firenze

Nice remodelled. Modern interiors. Even though it has no breakfast service, caffeteria Gamberini is just three blocks away (great). 10 minutes walking distance from Ponte Vecchio alongside the Arno. Great stroll even in January. Will recomend it

Florence close to the river

The receptionist Marlys was very helpful on our arrival and provided us information and places to see and to eat. The room was exceptionally clean and maintained everyday. The toiletries was in abundance and the free water every day was very appreciated. Although a walk to the station and attractions it’s worth coming home to the quiet area it’s positioned in and is very close to the river.

Room didn't lock

Room was clean, and the hotel is in a quiet area.

Our room door wouldn't lock from the outside or inside. Staff didn't seem to think this was a problem. I was travelling with my mother who was afraid that we would get robbed by someone from inside the hotel, or that an intruder might come into our room during the night. Again staff didn't seem to think there was a problem. The next day, the receptionist gave us 2 bottles of wine as compensation. Nice hotel, if the door locked it would have been a much better experience.

Everything was great, loved staying at there. Especially the cleanness of the room was fine. I appreciate the care they give for customer experience and comfort.

It would be great to have a bigger shower and the location is a little far from the city center but not that overserious.

Superb

The hotel was very clean & our room was cleaned daily. Very spacious room, with a good sized bed & lots of storage space & plugs. There was complimentary water, tea & coffee, as well as beauty supplies (toothbrush & paste, make up pad, nail file, shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc.), slippers & bathrobe. It’s in a good location, about 10 mins walk from the tourist sites & 5 mins from coffee shops & nice restaurants. The south side is easily accessed from the hotel also.

Very small detail. The air conditioning unit in the room was above the bottom of the bed. In the heat, we had to leave it on & it was a little uncomfortable blowing air into your face at night. There wasn’t any food or drink facilities in the hotel. Currently road works going on outside. A little noisy, but the rooms have good sound proofing.

Fantastic modern hotel within close proximity to major attractions and railway station.

The property is within easy walking distance to the train station and to the major tourist attractions. It’s a beautiful stroll along the river to the Ponte Vecchio or alternatively along one of the streets to grab a coffee and croissant. Our room was quite cozy, but comfortable, the toiletries were good quality and plentiful. Complimentary bottles of water were in the fridge which were great after arriving in the heat of the day. Staff were friendly and provided good recommendations on eateries etc. Overall a great stay.

Disappointing

Modern feeling of the hotel and cleanliness.

The AC was directed towards the bed, temperature couldn't be adjusted. Only the fan power can be adjusted, which results in a very uncomfortable sleep. It also had a very loud noise that kept repeating every 10 seconds. The staff at the reception did not seem very willing to help.

Overall hotel is fresh, modern and rooms are clean. Location is okay. It's not too far and not too close to the Duomo. Florence is fairly small so the location wasn't an issue. Bathroom was very nice, clean and with modern finish. The hotel offers complimentary water and coffee once per stay. 10 min walk from Santa Maria Novella Train station, which was convenient.

The room was extremely small. The bed fits between the 2 walls and after that, you barely have any space left to walk or even to place your suitcase and open it. No breakfast option although this is a B&B.
