Lodges clean and spacious, but looking a bit tired now, especially bathrooms and sofas.

We had a lovely Monday-Friday break at heathside lodges. The lodge was spacious which was fantastic with lots of storage. It was clean and well equipped with a dishwasher (dishwasher tablets left for us to use); kettle; toaster; microwave; oven and TWO fridges & a freezer. The hot tub was a perfect temperature and size. The instructions that are left are really clear with how to use it. Our kids loved the football goals; play equipment & the nature walks around the site. We did also visit Southwold for an afternoon; Africa alive and we went to Halesworth for dinner one night. The Chinese takeaway leaflet left in the lodge we did use on our last night and it was yummy! The shop on site is great and reasonably priced. I would say the only downside for us as a family was a 9am check out. We had our evening on the Thursday and then left late Thursday night as we knew we wouldn’t all be up; ready & car packed by 9am. Our children would love to return and we are looking to book again despite the early check out.
