There was absolutely nothing positive about this stay. The host never sent me the code to enter the apartment. I waited four hours outside, trying to contact him without success. I never managed to get in and had to find and pay for another hotel. The host also refused to refund me, claiming it was a technical error and not his responsibility.

No maintenance at the property (some items broken see photos) and quite dirty

This is a summary of the message I sent when I left the apartment number 4 on July 2025. He only accepted to give me back the deposit of 100 euros when I sent him my photos of the defects of the apartment by WhatsApp, that’s meaning, he did know the low quality state of the apartment that he rents in the best case.
1. There was very very hot temperature when we arrived. The apartment is receiving sunlight all afternoon (is west orientation) and there was NO air conditioning as your booking's description mentions. There is only a small fan or ventilator.
3. One shade or protection bulb of the ceiling lamp was broken and this is dangerous for the client because I could touch it, it is within my reach. Besides, another bulb is blown.
4. In the floorstanding lamp in the top bulb there is a cutting edge glass that could be very dangerous and could hurt anyone to touch it.
6. In the bathroom the bottom drawer does not close tightly. It remains opened on its right side.
7. I found a big square like a table in the middle of the apartment in front of the kitchen but I have revised all photos in your booking's description and I have not found a photo with this square. this square reduces greatly the space of the apartment.
8. Windows and glasses near the bed and the bathroom bar heating have a lawyer of dust that can be seen at a glance or naked eye. Inside of the fridge is dirty, more than a minimum expected.
10. One of the lamps of the bed has no bulb, has no shade and the cables and cutting edge connectors are without protection and could hurt anyone who touch it.
12. The TV switches on but it is not possible to watch any channel. I tried to search manually and automatically but it does not find any channel.
13. The yellow sofa is quite dirty

Flat is located next to main door of the building. Residents were slamming the door all night and noise was unbearable to sleep, even the wall was shaking. Staid one night without sleep and moved to another flat next morning. Dirty linen, dirty kitchen, doors.

You get what you see, cute apartment with a small kitchen, comfortable bed and a table that two people can eat. The location is close to the station. Communication with the owner was easy and quick.
There are no hand towels (even when requested one, they denied it), there are no kitchen towels or a cloth to clean so if you are eating on the table you have to clean the table with toilet paper. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom, except one small liquid soap for a 4-night stay of 2 people. There is an espresso machine but no capsules or any kind of coffee.
It's a shame because the room is decent, and for low-cost expenses, it could have been perfect.
PS: The room door is next to the main door, which gets slammed every time, so you wake up in your sleep. A sign could help.

I thought everything about the rental was excellent! Had good air conditioning and wifi. The walk from the train and metro stations was a bit further than I expected, but it was still very easy to get around using a combination of the bus/metro.

We were in apartment 4, with a terrace.
The apartment is well designed and there is: a washing machine (no detergent), a dishwasher (2 pods were provided), a nespresso coffee machine (2 pods provided - we stayed 3 nights in 2), a kettle, a toaster, a couple of tea bag, no salt, no sugar, a big dispenser for body soap.
The apartment is tiny and there’s no space where to hang clothes or put the luggage. Communicating with the host was like communicating with a chatbot. Anything I have asked, they replied over and over the same thing. I have asked in advanced if towels and soap were provided and when we arrived there were just 2 big towels (you provide at least 4, 2 for the face and 2 for the body) and no hand soap. The check-in is at 4pm, as they have strict cleaning procedures: when we arrived, the apartment wasn’t that clean at all. All the dishes were dirty (and then I understood why: at the end of the stay they ask you to clean all the dishes and store them back - which is not really a fully checked cleaning method), the floor was dirty, there were ants, the rug was filthy, there was a spider web hanging from the shower. Moreover, when you check out, at 10am (if you’re late there’s a 20€ fine for each hour), they ask you to also empty the garbage and throw it outside (there’s no recycling). So, what I wonder is: if I need to clean after myself, empty the garbage and the apartment isn’t that clean when you get there: why is the check-in at 4pm and the check-out at 10am? Luckily Lyon is full of luggage storage around the city and at the stations - which you need to pay for, but it is cheaper than the 20€ fine per hour they charge you. Also, when I wrote to them cause we were missing towels, hand soap and the apartment wasn’t that clean, the host replied to me: “this is the cleaning manager number, call him!” I refused to call a person I didn’t know. Then they called him, he came right away, and they asked me to show him everything. I sent them pictures instead, and I talked to the guy (very polite) through the entrance door and explained him the situation. Security of the flat is also not great: the door on the street is always open and you have a tiny door with one lock of key to separate yourself from the outside.

It was a very nice feeling to have a beautiful view on blooming forcitia and a terrace, it made the small flat feel like spatious and cozy, not claustrofobic at all, even if it is very small. It became quickly a very romantic spot, our tiny love nest.
that it was so poorly indicated, if it was not for the worker who opened accidentely opened the door when i was there around two, it might have taken me a while to get it that this anonymous grey door was open and i had to just go in an go to the keybox. Also the fact that you have can only get in at 4 pm and have to get out at 10 am is, is a bit too much, but we lived with it. and the location is far from the center, but all in all it was a terrific stay. The terrace and the view on the forcitia in bloom was a saving grace.

La situation de la rrsidence
Le manque de service au client. Lors de la réservation, vous avez un n° de tel comme contact en cas de soucis. Vois appelez et vous tombez sur un répondeur qui dit qu'un conseiller va vous répondre (version française et anglaise) puis il raccroche. Pas moyen de laisser un message et ce malgré plusieurs tentatives. On vous rappelle avec un autre n° de tel en fin de journée. L'appartement n'avait pas de chauffage le robinet thermostatique était cassé, les stores extérieurs étaient bloqués à mi hauteur ce qui rendait l'appartement peu lumineux, les globes du luminaire sur pied étaient cassés et non remplacés, il n'y avait pas de penderie donc vous devez laisser votre manteau sur une chaise ou sur le canapé, la TV ne fonctionnait pas, d'ailleurs elle était fixée juste au-dessus du canapé, donc pour regarder un film vous deviez le voir assis sur la chaise en bois de la cuisinette, la cuisine ne disposait pas de multiprise donc pour le petit déjeuner quand vous faisiez le café il fallait attendre que cela soit fini pour branché le grille pain.....et ainsi de suite, pas très pratique tout cela, la porte réfrigérateur du frigo ne fermait pas donc de la glace en quantité et impossible d'y déposer quoique ce soit.... Et pour conclure cette société au lieu de dépêcher une personne pour venir constater l'état de l'appartement vois demande des photos pour justifier vos dires, de les envoyer sur whatsapp puis par SMS on vous demande de faire vous même les vérifications pour finir par conclure que les éléments cassés et en panne seront commandes.....aucune solution alternative ne m'a été proposé j'ai passé mon séjour sans chauffage. Cet établissement ne porte pas bien son nom il n'y avait rien de cocoon dans cet appartement

Фотографии не соответствуют действительности, стены бумажные))) Не возможно уснуть из-за того что каждый шепот соседа слышен, хозяин вообще отдельная тема, на сообщения отвечает очень поздно, проблемы не решил, все скинул на букинг, деньги тоже не вернул, мы из забронированных дней остались только 1 ночь и то пару часов, в общем ужас, если ждете прекрасный уютный домик то вам не сюда, + вы должны оставить у него залог в размере 200 евро и когда спрашиваете когда он их вам вернет ответа не получаете нормального.

Il y a un problème de propreté. Le ménage n'est pas bien fait. J'ai trouvé un chewing-gum sous une feuille de la petite plante artificielle posée sur la table. Il y avait une grosse toile d'araignée au dessus de la porte d'entre qui donne sur la rue et pas mal de poussière sur les plaintes des lates de séparation.

Je suis arrivée à l'adresse indiquée, après une demi heure de marche. Je me suis trouvée devant un immeuble d'habitation et non pas devant le logement indiqué "les cocons héritages". J'ai appelé le numéro indiqué sur la réservation. Malgré des appels répétés durant plusieurs minutes, je n'ai jamais eu personne au téléphone. Je suis donc repartie pour une demi heure de marche pour trouver un hôtel. A 20 heures, je n'avais n'en vais toujours pas trouvé.
Après plusieurs tentatives de réservation, j'ai trouvé une chambre dans un établissement (ci-joint la facture).
Je vous demande donc le remboursement des 92,84 € . J'ai d'ailleurs vu que votre établissement était disponible le jour où je l'avais moi même réservé!!!
C'est vraiment lamentable!!!
Je vais d'ailleurs déposer une plainte et ne ferai plus jamais appel aux services de Booking.com.

Klimaanlage war im Angebot beschrieben, aber es gab keine Fernbedienung. Der Anbieter wurde sofort informiert, hat aber nichts unternommen um das Problem zu beheben. Es gab trotz mehrfacher Nachfragen keinerlei Antwort vom Anbieter dazu. Auch ansonsten waren wir unzufrieden: Im Badezimmer fehlten ein Vorleger/Matte vor der Tusche und ein Handtuch für das Waschbecken. Der Abfluss der Dusche war außerdem verstopft. Das Trockentuch für die Küche war dreckig, ebenso das Besteck und Geschirr, an welchem teilweise noch Haare klebten. Manche Sachen waren auch noch im Geschirrspüler und nicht in die Regale eingeräumt.
Dass es einen Sonos-Lautsprecher gibt hatte mich erst gefreut, aber dieser war nicht einmal eingerichtet, d.h. es mussten erst Updates installiert und ein Name festgelegt werden usw., weshalb das auch wenig intuitiv und einfach ablief. Letztlich habe ich sogar den Eindruck, dass die Klimaanlage nicht einsatzfähig war und deshalb bewusst keine Fernbedienung dafür bereitgestellt wurde, denn weshalb sonst waren die Fenster bei Ankunft offen und es wurde auf alle Nachrichten nicht reagiert? Bei ca. 30-32° tagsüber freut man sich dann natürlich "extrem" auf eine schön warmes Zimmer zum Schlafen, insbesondere wenn man gerade eine Europareise unternimmt und der Schlaf sowieso immer zu kurz kommt. Absolut enttäuschend und ärgerlich, dass die Unterkunft zur Hauptproblematik bislang keinerlei Reaktion gezeigt und keine Entschädigung angeboten hat.

Die Wohnung lag für uns gut, wenn auch etwas ab vom Zentrum.
Sie ist modern ausgestattet und man konnte in der selben Straße parken (gegen Gebühr - 55 Euro pro Tag, Ausnahme sonntags und im August).
Einchecken war erst ab 16 Uhr möglich, früher hätte zusätzlich gekostet. Leider war das Zimmer um 16 Uhr nicht bereit und die Putzfrau war alles andere als bemüht, schnell fertig zu werden.
Die vorhandene Klimaanlage kann nicht genutzt werden, da keine Fernbedienung vorhanden war. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, es gäbe keine Klimaanlage. Eine dreiste Falschbehauptung. Im Sommer in Lyon fast nichtmachbar nur mit einem kleinen Ventilator!
Das Schlafsofa ist an einer Stelle kaputt (kann aber noch normal genutzt werden.
