Enjoyable Norfolk stay

The house is in an ideal location for Norwich city centre with plenty of parking for 4 motorbikes.

Great size bedrooms, spacious kitchen and comfortable lounge, dishwasher. Milk, tea, coffee, towels provided.

Our only issue was trying not to let the shower spray water on to the floor as it is above a clawfoot bath with a wrap around curtain, a very minor point but we didn't want to cause a small flood on the floor.

Superb base for exploring Norwich and a relaxing home

Great location for exploring Norwich and Norfolk.15 minute walk to city centre. Co-op at end of road for emergency supplies. Having off road parking is priceless in this part of town. Louisa left so many wonderful extras to make our stay extra easy. 3 spacious double rooms and a single. Comfy beds and sofas. Beautiful original features in the house and great modernisation.

The location was amazing, short walk to the city centre. Great price and off-road parking .

The carpets and runners downstairs were quite grubby, lots of traffic has taken its toll. Bowls, cups and cutlery looked like they hadn’t been washed properly.

Very nice, spacious and comfortable house close to the city center

Very nice, cosy house with a lot of space and a nice garden. It is very close to the city center which was perfect to us. We also found the private parking place in front of the door very convenient and the beds are very comfortable! All in all we were very happy with our accommodation.

The only thing we missed was a coffee / Nespresso machine. The kitchen is big and fully equipped and what looked to be a fancy coffee machine actually did not work. As for the rest, the kitchen had pretty much everything you would need for preparing your breakfast, lunch and/or dinner.

Think twice before booking this!

The only redeeming feature was its location. The owner had made an effort to provide coffee, milk & toiletries which was thoughtful.

It was absolutely filthy, run down & unsafe. Hall was stained & un-hoovered. The bedding stunk, had not been washed, the whole place was covered in cobwebs. The bathroom had a leaking shower & towel wedged behind bath to soak up water, floor was grubby & old hair & dirt all over it. Missing light bulbs in kitchen, gas hob ignition not working & empty matchbox left with it. Microwave dirty, oven not cleaned (fat inside it). Crockery & cutlery all dirty. It looked liked squatters had moved out so it could be rented. The curtain rail almost crashed on me but apparently it had never been a problem before (see photo). The list goes on, it’s such a shame as it could of been nice. We were stuck there as graduations from uni meant accommodation in Norwich was all booked, otherwise we would of gone elsewhere.

Spacious house in Lakenham

Spacious house, with a very good location for accessing downtown, stadium or Lakenham. Kitchen is good, with usable pans and utensils, so handy for self-catering. Comfortable sitting room. Check-in easy.

One bathroom is not ideal for 4+ guests. House is typical English house, so draughty by doors and windows, stuffy hot by radiators. Note there's a damage deposit, and guests requested to take out all rubbish (wheelie bin overflowing), with a 10 AM checkout time, so not an ideal parting.

A family home suitable with a great proximity to Norwich

Situated in a great location for our family getaway with all the amenities we needed. Excellent communication from Louisa who supported us throughout our stay. Very helpful to have parking for two cars on the drive in a residential area requiring parking permits.

The house was in need of a bit of a deep clean and could do with an update but I am sure this will be put in place immediately. A minor issue with a damaged lock was rectified by a locksmith the next day.

Dirtiness built in to the experience.

The kitchen is well equipped and the lounge reasonably comfortable. The bedrooms were nice in appearance. The central heating was extremely good and simple to adjust. Unfortunately, the positives for this property nowhere near compensated for the negatives.

The place is DIRTY generally. On first entry, the carpet in the corridor has a black trail along it and much the same elsewhere. The windows are filthy. The cooker has hardened on food around the ovens. Cleaning is very superficial. There are no mattress and pillow protectors in place which means that pillows can be smelly of other people, for example. All of this is symptomatic of a lack of pride in the property and a lack of respect for guests. There is a double bedroom downstairs which might be helpful to guests with limited mobility but there is no bathroom downstairs so it is not a positive. It looked to us like there was space to install a small bathroom downstairs. The shower is abominable. It is over a free standing bath and one has to have shower curtains all around one in the bath. It is dark and the curtains stick to ones body. Furthermore, the bath is on a 100mm high plinth which makes stepping into it difficult and getting out of it scary. Towel rail fell off of the wall when we were looking around the property on arrival. The owner required a deposit against breakages which was returned. However, it is totally unclear in what circumstances the owner would retain part or all of the deposit. No list, for example, of preexisting damage was available despite there being some obvious problems. The owner, for example, was clearly aware of the loose towel rail.

Was like being in my dream home

Was like being at homes. Everything you needed was provided. Nice little touch with milk in the fridge with chives of teas . Coffee . Very clean and comfortable. Great did off road parking for two cars. The property is perfect and so is the host . Definitely highly recommended .

Very comfortable house, spacious, clean and well fitted out. We much appreciated the provision of milk. The road was quiet and the location is very convenient for getting into the centre of town.
