The apartment was clean, very spacious and well decorated. When we first arrived we were very happy with how the place looked and it had plenty of space and eevrhthkng we needed. The furniture was functional and pretty.
I felt like there was an uncomfortable level of communication from the property owner about our stay. After the usual confirmation emails and information about how to get into the property, there was a 7 minute video on how to park and open the gates and the key safe that could have easily been a couple of photos. This also focussed heavily on taking shoes off going up the stairs and "minding the walls" which was patronising and overbearing. Throughout my stay I had several more booking.com messages, as I understand hosts can get anxious I replied that we had checked in and were happy with the accommodation. I was then asked out of the blue if I wanted to extend my stay. While on my holiday I had two calls from the host and then an unsolicited whatsapp message (I had not consented to be contacted on whatsapp). The night before checking out I had a "courtesy" message reminding us checkout was at 10am (information already provided several times). In the morning the cleaner was trying to access the property at 7.30am and one of our group packing up the car if we had our keys. The cleaner then opened the door and let herself into the property without knocking at 9.40am (the door was unlocked as we were getting ready to leave). I messaged the host to let them know we'd checked out, but still recieved two missed calls an hour later. When I messaged asking why they had called they had no good reason, had only called to ask if we would enjoy our stay. The level of disruption was on the level of scam callers which made a lot of sense since they were trying to upsell and extention to the stay. It added an unwanted level of stress and disruption to my trip. I understand some level of contact from the host is expected and necessary but this went much further than this. On top of this I don't believe the building is legally compliant with fire safety measures as the bottom door locks with a key and can only be unlocked from the inside with a key.

The apartment was clean, modern and plenty of space for us all. Everything we needed for a home from home experience. We received our Checking in info, everything we needed to know, was there. If we needed to ask about anything, Cyrille responded very promptly. He was always friendly and helpful. As its self check in, we never got to meet anyone in person, but all replies to any messages we sent, were quickly responded to.
There wasent anything we didn't like tbh. Only minor thing for me was the single bed was a bit hard, but that's personal preference.

The level of security for the property and the car parking were excellent. The apartment was well layed out and had plenty of space. It was also close to the city centre without being too close, therefore it was very quiet in the evenings.
The timer for the central heating seemed to be out of kilter. In the evening the heating did not come on until quite late. Then it came on in the middle of the night when we were in bed but not first thing in the morning when we got up. Obviously this wasn't pleasant as on the first night of our stay there was a heavy frost. The outside light by the entrance door wasn't working too well which made it difficult to put the key in the lock. The stairs were quite steep which could be problematical for some people.
